Yeah, especially against Mijares who is capable of taking Donaire to a full 12 rounds. That is why Arce is a good fight for Nonito(how's that deal going along btw?), Arce is incredibly tough and I think is very capable of also taking Nonito to 12 rounds. With that fight, we will have a good indication of how well Nonito could perform in a full 12 round bout.

Mijares suddenly become invincible? For a featherfisted fighter whose badge of fame is outboxing Arce (which is nothing extraordinary since any fighter with above average boxing skill would probably be able to accomplish), he is now a demi-god.

Donaire would defeat Mijares. If Mijares had been impressive in his last few fights, The same could be said of Donaire but he did it in a more emphatic manner - KOing his opponents. If Mijares had dominated his opponents, so did Donaire.

To be fair with you, im a big Donaire fan. But watching him in the ring exchanging leathers with the prime peaking Mijares at this point in time is one big risk to his career. Theres only two things that Nonito can stands against MJ as of now that is; If Nonito can strike those solid punch in MJs chin, can he put him down? If ND can do it now, well that will be a very big factor that he will surely can win against this guy. But if he cannot? what more can he put in the table for this well-tested, very experienced top boxer in 115 lbs.?

Mijares has beaten better fighters and Donaire is slow for him.

i think mijares is the best fighter in that division. i'd favor him over montiel, although montiel certainly has a good chance of landing a good shot. mijares defense is satisfactory, as he relies mostly on his reflexes to slip punches. his defensive game is'nt as refined as his offensive skill set, which is itself sterling. i think his workrate would win him that fight comfortably. he'd overwhelm montiel, whose defense can be non existent at times. his movement would also keep montiel from planting, as he is'nt nimble on his feet. i'd make him the favorite over donaire too. although nonito, imo, has a better shot at winning compared to montiel due to his style. he's a good mover with excellent hand speed. that kind of slick style won't play into mijares's hands like montiel. the guys i think who would pose mijares problems would be the fighters at bantam weight. i'd like to see mijares in against mabuza, and my man penalosa.

Mijares is absolutely the best right now in flyweight division. Maybe Donaire has something that could beat this fighter, just maybe.

You mean the M. Castillo who got beat by Nobuo Nashiro, who got his ass handed to him by Alexander Munoz?

Martin Castillo was great at one point, but once he started having the major problems with cuts, it caused him to change his style, and he just hasn't been as effective since then. Arce and Kawashima are probably both better wins than that version of Castillo.

We'll just ignore the draw against the guy who got his ass kicked from post to post by Donaire, Montiel and Darchinyan.
