Fair enough but Burgos aint that good and samething with Gabbi. This is a different weight class so let's see what Vic does. He will lose to Mijares too. He aint that good with that same punch he always uses. I hope Donaire answers Mijares challenge so I can see this fight already.

I think Mijares will beat Vic to but these is always that chance that Vic's awkward style and power may give Mijares' fits.

He has a punchers chance but since he throws the same straight left over and over again I don't see it happening. I think Mijares will fight him first before Donaire. I would like to see Donaire vs. Montiel then the winner gets Mijares.

You should really watch Donaire's fights again. He has one of the fastest hands in the lower weights.

Like I said before, movement wise its Mijares. But handspeed? Its Donaire.

I will but he needs to stay active. I am forgetting how he fights.

Montiel if given the opportunity would destroy the opponents Mijares supposedly schooled. Montiel, just give this man an opportunity. That's all that]s missing.. Mijares is ducking Montiel for good reasons. I

Montiel would probably beat all of the opponents Mijares has beaten yes, but stylistically he matches up with Mijares just as bad or worse than most of them, especially a guy like Navarro.

I don't see anyone around his division beating Mijares. His chin is solid, he's got very fast hands, a busy offense, one of (if not the) best jabs in boxing, superior footwork when compared to almost anyone in boxing. A good variety of punches. Pinpoint accuracy. I'd have to say the man's the most skilled guy in boxing today. Montiel and Donaire are the only ones I give a solid chance, but I think Mijares takes a comfortable decision in either fight as well.

Beat is the right word to describe it. Destroy is more appropriate. I am sure Montiel will put alot of hurt on Mijares. You could never count out a puncher like Montiel. I wanna see this fight. I am confident Montiel exposes Mijares.

He has the power to hurt him, just not the skills to put the hurt on him. I am quite confident Mijares will be the one exposing him.

If Mijares would give Donaire fits on the outside game, so would Donaire on Mijares. Donaire is good at throwing punches with power while darting in and out. He does not need to even outbox Mijares because even if Mijares outpunch him 2 : 1 if Donaire lands, the effect would be different. And I do not believe that Mijares would outland Donaire by that Ratio. Besides, all of Mijares opponents were up-in-your face opponents. No one remotely fights like Donaire. This is 100 per cent sure, Donaire would connect on Mijares.

i would favor donaire given how the styles play out. mijares has excellent defense but it is based mostly on slipping punches rather than blocking them straight up. to get away with such tactics one has to enjoy an immense advantage in speed over the opponent, and mijares does not have that with donaire. i see mijares getting tagged more than he would like to be.

this fight will play out very much like DLH-Whitaker. anybody agree with this? i see a very close fight with mijares outlanding donaire but with donaire scoring the more damaging and effective blows. could go either way really but if i had to put money on it i would go with donaire.
