No Super Middleweight can beat Calzaghe as it stands. Light Heavyweights? Not RJJ, certainly not Tarver, Danny Green? - lol, Diaconu? Erdei? Stripe Dews? Clinton Woods? mmmmm... nah!... B-Hop? I doubt it.

Chad Dawson maybe (the operative word is maybe)

Pavilk or Hopkins would probably beat him. Pav by KO and Hop by decision.

On what evidence do you base your theory?

    You think so?

Pavlik's right hand would miss the target all night and he would have problems with Calzaghe's movement and speed. Calzaghe would get on the inside and smother Pavlik, firing off quick combinations to the body and the head. Calzaghe's southpaw stance and movement would negate Pavlik's jab. And one big right hand or two wouldn't be enough to stop Joe.

Hopkins doesn't have the timing, speed, or workrate to beat Calzaghe at this stage. Yes, Hopkins is a cagy fighter, an excellent defensive fighter, and can make just about anybody look bad, but Calzaghe possesses all of these attributes as well. I think he would outwork and outland Hopkins, taking a very clear decision.

Who? Pavlik? If he gets lucky, maybe.

If Jermain Taylor didn't have such **** stamina I'd give him a reasonable chance. Hopkins maybe......5 years ago Hopkins definately but right now? Doubt it.
