I don't like to say how he would do at 154 because he's never fought there and so that's a bit of an unknown. However at 147... I would have Paul Williams (if he can make the weight) to beat him. Mayweather's a pick 'em fight but I think Mayweather wins that match up. Mosley is most definitely no longer a pick 'em fight. Pacquiao would destroy Mosley, maybe even by knock out or stoppage. Pacquiao also has too much at present for both Bradley and Alexander. Berto wouldn't last the distance with Pac.
Floyd. I think berto would be a hell of a fight but I don't think they want to fight berto. If you are gonna fight a speed guy around there you fight the biggest money one. Berto could expose some ways to beat manny because he is fast and fluid. So fighting mayweather will become harder than it already is plus he would be coming out of a war with berto garenteed 100%. Berto would be landing alot as well and manny will have to out box him instead of overwhelming him because berto will make manny pay for fighting like that. It would be a close and unbelievable brawl seing berto likes to get over aggressive and becoming undisciplined with leaving his chin up in the air (especially from the 6th on). Berto just has that tendacy to make a fight gritty even though he has all the tools. Pac man would have to be on his A game. I would go with pac by SD being really a 7-5 fight. I think pac would take advantage and throw alot of punches when berto is taking breaks doing well to the body. Berto will be doing the same but taking more breaks than manny. This is the only one I want manny to fight at 147 if he doesn't fight floyd.
If pac doesnt fight may next then I wanna see him and berto!! Pac would whip ass and he would of fought another belt holder in the welter-weight division
James Kirkland, Sergio Martinez, Yuri Foreman, Sergio Dzinziruk, Alfredo Angulo, Corey Spinks, Floyd Mayweather, Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, Devon Alexander, Tim Bradley, Amir Khan, Carlos Quintana, Louis Collazo, Joan Guzman, Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron, Nate Campbell, Marcos Maidana, Edwin Valero(even from the grave), Kendall Holt, Victor Ortiz, Juan Manuel Marquez, Lamont Peterson, Juan Urango, Demitrius Hopkins, Junior Wittter, Ali Funeka, Juan Diaz, Robert Guerrero, Vanes Martirosyan, Daniel Santos, Said Ouali, Selcuk Aydin, Kell Brook. Andre Berto, Jan Zeveck.
whoa... surely you don't think all of them have a chance. i see about 10 that have a good chance and 1 very comfortable with.
This fight would end Berto's career. Berto might be a decent match when Pac is 40, but Pac still wins. No sense in Berto taking this kind of beating. You say he leaves his chin out and is gritty. That is a recipe for brain damage against Pac. Nothing against him- I like Berto, but he is no where near Pac's level. There is also no particular reason to suspect he ever will be. Only Floyd can beat Pac.
Manny, Roach, and the mayweathers want no parts of paul williams. He puts way to much pressure on you with that long volume punching and he has above average handspeed, though not a blazer like Floyd and manny. One thing is for sure, and that is the fact that you have to pay a toll to land shots on paul williams and I don't care who you are. Paul is gonna land shots and every trainer knows that. Add to that the fact that judges like the volume punching over bigger less frequent big shots from the opponent. So there is 2 things you got to work against when facing paul williams. These trainers know you have to make all of your shots count in the line of fire. Paul has a good chin, recovery , and ability to take body shots. He is just to dangerous of an opponent. Sergio on the other hand would be a much favorable match up because mayweather and manny would both be faster than martinez, which he isn't used to and also not that much weaker than him either. Not too much shorter and martinez is a precision punching agile, dart in at angles guy like manny. They would have much better chances against sergio than the hieght and volume punching of williams
1. Mayweather: I'd bet my house on it. 2. Mosley: I'm pretty sure, even after what Mayweather did to him 3. Margarito: Kind of a toss up. Margarito is really big compared to a lil guy like Pacquiao. But I think its possible. Possibly a much more focused Cotto.
The following will defeat Pacman: "Pretty Boy" Floyd a.k.a "Money" Mayweather "Sugar" Shane Mosley Sergio Martinez Paul "the Punisher" Williams Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley Ajose "the Ring Marshall" Olusegun Devon "the Great" Alexande Juan Manuel Marquez Maybe Marcos Maidana
How can you expect to be taken seriously when you list someone Pac has already utterly destroyed as "possible."?
lol...u guys are clueless as far as shane..watch when he fight his next fight and he dont gas out...lets see what excuses come next.. as for who can beat manny....Floyd...he can easily control the tempo of the fight with the better footwork and make it a "boxing match" as opposed to a "fight"
Guys who would beat him. Mayweather. Paul Williams. Martinez. Guys who have a chance. Mosley. Bradley. Margarito. (bricks included)
