froch is more skilled than you think, Against Taylor it was more to do with nerves and first time against a US audience, I won my 600 pounds wager after the the pascal fight and another 250 pounds, in saying that pascal WILL be world champion the within a year !!!!!!!!!!!!! you cats are tripping!! you will not knock knock pavlik out but make him very weary and dizzy, please ask the british poster when froch was coming up, and fighting he hits like a "£$%^&*() cross breed mule on exterrestial steriods
pavlik is very one-dimensional....jab,jab, right.....at 160 he uses strength and power thats all, his boxing skills are very average......AA could outbox pavlik imo.....and he has the better chin......pavlik is the guy that got floored by journey man zuniga....that should tell you something....
Arthus Abraham is not overrated at all. He fights to the level ofhis competition and his physical strength/punching power/chin combination is the best of any current fighter. While Hopkins beat Pavlik with his craftiness, many people overlook that Hopkins was also the first fighter Pavlik met where is wasn't the physicall stronger guy in the ring. Sure, Abraham would lose the early rounds due to Pavlik's workrate, but if Pavlik can really worry him remains to be seen. At some point, Abraham will explode and go all out and who knows how Pavlik will react to that. It is simply too early in Abraham's career to know how good he is. Your analysis emphasizes Pavlik's strenths and Abraham's weaknesses. I would have probably done the same after Pavlik's Zertuche - Miranda - Taylor streak. Since then, Pavlik's career was managed poorly, we just don't know how he recovered mentally from the Hopkins loss and we don't know if he still has that relaxed confidence he exhibited when he got up from the canves against Taylor and won the fight.
Pavlik is good at middleweight but when he goes up in weights his power is not so effective, Kessler, bute and froch win against Pavlik. All three fighters K.O Pavlik..
Abraham is ridiculously over rated. I'll be posting a complete analysis of his title reign in the next day or two, but let me give you a liitle insight right now. Mahir Oral's last 5 opponents had a collective 35 losses! LuJaun Simon was living off Bronco McKart's left overs, and Sylvester just beat him as convincingly as Arthur did. This constant refrain about how AA "fights to the level of his opposition" is plain stupid. A champion should get rid of a guy like LuJaun Simon inside 5 rounds. Arthur lets guys like that last 12 rounds. That IS NOT the mark of a champion. Abraham won't just "lose the early rounds." He'll get his ass handed to him, and get hurt. He won't recuperate, because KP won't let up. I'm sure Abraham will try to "explode" at some point. And everytime he drops that left hand to throw one of those wide, looping left hooks he'll eat right hands that come straight down the pipe. And finally, are you seriously comparing Zertuche, Miranda, and Taylor to Oral, Simon, and Ayala?
Of the 14 fights KP had at, near, or above SMW how many have you seen? I'll await your list and your break down of how each fight went. In other words; Shut The **** Up NOOB.
Face it your boy got beaten by a old man...:hi: And soon Bute will take his arse. Then Kessler will take his arse.. Then Froch will take your arse, you love up ya you dirty rent boy...:hey
pavlik is a KO waiting to happen....especially at 168.... I understand he got beat by the ATG hopkins.... but 12-0 in rounds.....pavlik is not world class above 160
Im glad im not the only person to think that, tell that to Booradly, he gets a bit touchy on the subject...
Hmmm...AA fought Miranda as well...and Taylor was a while ago and since then, Pavlik has taken a schooling and beat Rubio, who IMO would lose to Oral and Simon. As I said, after Pavlik's streak of best wins, I would have favored him against AA. How much of that Pavlik is still there is unknown. AA never had anything shake his confidence. Better fighters than Pavlik never recovered mentally from a schooling from Hopkins. The alcohol rumors were never convincingly addressed by team Pavlik. Why wouldn't they sue a journalist who writes these rumors. You make assumptions about "the mark of a champion" maybe it is just AA's mentally to win fights by doing enough. It was never RJJ's mentality to get opponents out there as quickly as possible and he was so good and confident that he could afford it. Sure, AA ain't no RJJ. But I will say this: If Pavlik gets his jaw broken in the 4th round of a fight and loses a quart of blood, he doesn't survive that fight against Miranda. Pavlik needed to accumulate the punishment to KO Miranda, AA did it wiht a few short explosions. Sometimes a fighter is better H2H than in resume, AA seems to be a case like that.
that's a ridiculous comparison. If that's a viable argument, then if Froch has slightly more power than Jermain Taylor, then he'll knock out Pavlik like Taylor came within a whisker of doing. Or if he's a slightly better finisher. Or can land one more punch. Terrible, terrible argument. EDIT: for the record, I think Pavlik would beat Froch
I did watch the fight.....and pavlik got floored big time....by a journey man http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LI4WyzSYqc
