Yet Froch won't have learned his lesson against Taylor? It works both ways in boxing, not just for the fighter you like.
What lesson? To get desperate earlier? Pavlik won't be running on fumes like Taylor does in the later rounds.
Froch became very gunshy after getting dropped for the first time ever in the third round. I'm sure this will a, make him a bit more defensively minded, and b, better mentality in future situations where he gets hurt. And he wasn't desperate, he had been turning the tables on Taylor in the championship rounds, knew it wasnt enough, and went for a big twelfth. Pavlik may not be running on fumes in the later rounds but he doesn't have anything close to Taylor's speed. But, if you're going to consistently disregard the fact that styles make fights, then Froch won't blow his load early like Taylor did in the first fight against Pavlik and let him off the hook by punching himself out. But it doesn't work like that, because Pavlik is nothing like Taylor, and neither is Froch.
Pavlik knocks that goofy williams out, no doubt about it. I think he wins AA by points too if AA cannot seriously hurt him but there is change for that. supermiddleweights I think Kessler might win Pavlik and Bute has change too but Froch gets decapitated that's for sure and I even like Froch.
weak comeback, a flash KD is like round 1 of cotto-clottey with clottey being off balance......a shot on the chin being wide open and getting hit is not a flash KD, dont let nuthuggery blind you.....
Kelly hits harder than Taylor and his punches take a toll. Froch is there to be hit. Carl won't be the same IF this fight makes it to the 11/12th rounds. Froch admitted his slow start was in response to having no answer to Taylor. He admitted he had to wait for Taylor's output to drop before he could get started. I'm going by an interview with the BBC I read. This is what Froch said. So back to the original comparison you disliked. Pavlik outboxed JT in the second fight, largely because he had too having injured his hand early on. They thought it might be broken for a while. So, is he 14 seconds better than Taylor? Without a doubt in my mind.
You can watch that and seriously tell me Pavlik went down because he was hurt? atsch Yeah, and Zuniga jumped all over him and controlled the action and finished him off I guess. atsch
He recovered well, but he did look hurt....no way in hell he took a direct shot like that and wasnt hurt......
Seriously, you really are obsessed with AA. If AA isn“t a serious threat to Pavlik, why wasting soooo much time trying to discredit AA? That makes no sense at all...
Kessler - easily, total one sided thrashing. Abraham - 50/50 fight, either man could win, Pavlik could do it by being smart, but Abraham would win if he dragged Pavlik into a war. Froch - not easy but by KO. Pavlik is much easier to hit than Taylor and does not have the hand speed or combinations to stop Froch landing at will. Both men are poor defensively, but Froch disguises some shots better and has the better chin. Bute - Pavlik has the punchers chance, if Bute fights smart he wins a comfortable UD, if he gets caught flush later into the fight he is in trouble.
Wont do what? Be slow and easy to hit? How? If he learnt his lesson about being caught by right hand counters, why did he spend 12 rounds eating them against Hopkins? It is not about lessons learned, it is about flaws. He is vunerable to hand speed and angles, luckily for him Froch does not have very fast hands, but he does throw from awkward angles and he throws the uppercut with enough disguise to catch the wide open Pavlik at will. It will come down to who can take who's shots. Pavlik has awful footwork but great output. Froch has very average footwork and awful output, both hit hard, Froch has the better chin and is less predictable in his shots. A case can be made either way, but personally I see a great entertaining fight with Froch stopping Pavlik.
If he did indeed just get stupid, he did not learn his lesson, as was shown against Taylor. I think it is simply a part of Kelly's exciting style that he is hittable. He recovers very quickly, but he can be hurt for a moment. That knockdown against Zuniga did not look like a balance shot. AA's puncher power has been measured at 380 kg. That is very serious power. He doesn't need to accumulate a lot of damage on an opponent to either KO them or take the steam out of them. Look at how little AA needed to do to KO Miranda. I am not saying AA will win for sure, but Kelly would have to be on top of his game to beat AA. As long as rumors of personal problems aren't convincingly denied and he fights again on the level he showed against Taylor, I am leaning towards AA.
