I have seen this bull**** again and again. The one who got beaten by Wladimir wanted to fight Vitali next and the one who got beaten by Vitali wanted to fight Wladimir next. Where are the real excitement and fun? Where the hell are the tough challengers in the HWD now? Give me some names please.
The real answer is that no one would be a favorite. Some fringe answers: Louis Ortiz- 6'4, Power, southpaw...sounds a little like Sanders. Not sure if he has the speed, but has had about 350 amatuer fights...this is my main pick! Glazkov has an all around talent package good enough than he could outpoint a slow and (perhaps soon) badly faded Vitali. Helenius could get a one in ten lucky punch agaisnt Wlad's shakey chin. Don't think so. Wlad has showed no signs on slowing down. But Wlad has not faced anyone of Helenius' size and power since Sanders or Williamson, and has never faced a fellow powerful big man with two-fisted power. Wach- also big and powerful, perhaps he has some reservoires of talent we haven't seen. Povetkin. Most say that Povetkin would be wiped out. I still think Povetkin would make a competative fight if he switches back to his swarmer style, confusing Wlad who will expect a more Teddy Atlas inspired boxer-puncher version of the man. Yes, Wlad, could destroy him with one bomb, but, a cautious man by nature, Wlad would probably try to figure him out for a few rounds whiles Alex racks up points by merely landing pitty-pat ****. Wlad will probabaly still win, but given Wlad's tenataiveness, it will be closer than expected. Pulev. Big, tremendous amateur experience and skill, he has been vastly unimpressive, but seems to fight at the level of his opponents, and I'll bet he could give Vitali a good fight. Fury- big and throws a lot of punches. could swarm Wladdy, although more likely would get knocked out. though others might think so, probably not: Chisora- Really sucks all said and done. But has gotten lucky, and a lot of attention, from a couple of fight. All said and done, he has lost to Fury, Vitali, and does not do much of anything well. A recent comment said that his pressure style would trouble Wladdy- bollocks! Despite the "pressure" has little power and would be wiped out from Wlad just lke the fact that leon Spinks with his pressure style was wiped out by Holmes. Arreola- Garbage. Will be wiped out in a few rounds after Wladdy tires him out and knocks him out like everyone else.
There are a couple who can beat them, just by getting lucky. But there's no one out there who would have more as a 25% chance against either of them. This realisation has been sinking in for a while now, even to their biggest critics... And still every guy they face, no matter how limited, is favoured to beat them by a couple of die hard haters and/or (some of) the challengers countrymen. And most of them react by complaining about it after the fact. Not sure how long this circle keeps continuing, but I expect it to last until both of them are retired when the same people start shouting that the new guy (whoever he is) would have KO1'd both brothers and they were lucky that he wasn't around in their era.
Well sooner or later folks someone - maybe even a total bum - is going to get lucky. Be it an injury (see Vitali) or just a plain lucky punch. It's bound to happen.
A 6'6 Kell Brook walks through Wlad like an automatic door, leaving a horrific scene of blood, tears and faeces in his wake. Same version of Kell Brook UDs Vitali, who runs all night like he did against Chisora.
Hate to say it but David Haye has the best chance to beat Vitali Klitschko. A fully focused Haye could cause all sorts of trouble for Vitali (Vitali is showing his age IMO). Other than that - no one. Maybe David Price in 2 years could dethrone Wlad, he has the height, reach, power, and style to beat Wlad.
