Who of all mentioned were top fighters when he fought them? I'm not talking about mandatories since we know you can get knocked the hell out by Bika and be a mandatory with the IBF.

The IBF mandatory between Stevenson and Gonzalez hasn't even took place so I guess he has at least 6 months left.

 

Andrade was tho even if you won't agree ranked #3 the first time Bute fought him and #5 the second one. I guess that qualify as top fighter. Berrio was the IBF champion that also must qualify as a top fighter.

 

It could, as it could for Ward with the WBC/WBA mandos. We can't predict the alphabet orgs anymore.

There's no fighting in Detroit here. Maybe in NYC at MSG, but on a a big card. Not with them as the main event, there would only be a small crowd. Ask NYC boxing fans who Lucian Bute and Andre Dirrell are...!!

Showtime needs substance. I doubt Leon Lawson can organize a high profile card for the network.

Mando is due in April. My guess is it can't be official so long as their two eliminator bouts are not done with. Which is good news.

 

It looks like Bute can either fight a stiff at home or Dirrell away.
