I mean, there's no question Floyd is BY FAR the better fighter between the two.

In every single aspect except speed, which isn't a complete shut out. Khan might be "faster", but as for "who can hit you quicker", Mayweather's angles have to be taken into account which probably evens it up.

ArseBandit, I'd pay any money for it to happen haha.

What makes you think that? We need to see Thurman against top fighters before we can say how he does against Floyd.

Is it because of his power? It's been shown time and time again that you need more than power to beat Floyd.

Thurman also has a leaky defense, which is not good against Floyd.

I kind of want to see Thurman fight a few more of the other top guys around WW before I properly rank him. I really like Soto Karass but outside of the win over Berto he's fell flat at every challenge.

explosive speed/power. can box off the back and front foot, strength bigger than floyd, smart fighter but has been put against strong pressure fighters lately so has looked vulnerable chaves and karass, and he knocked those boys out.
Thurman will show better adaptability then most other WWs

Khan maybe, but his hand speed alone won't win him the fight. I think Thurman with the right game plan can do it, because he's got excellent speed and power. But I don't think either one of them would pull it off because they'd be outboxed and countered. Pacquiao doesn't have that "bull" style, but he'd catch Mayweather early on not unlike Mosley and Judah. At 147, I don't see anyone that I'd favor over him.

I actually an HUGELY surprised at how many people saying Khan. As I said, I've been calling for the fight (since 2011, at which time I got jeered at by lots of people) but at the same time, at no stage in Khan or Mayweather's career would I have gave him over a 10% chance. It just so happens that 10% is very exciting Vs May.

pacquio too obviously, just want to say that bully tactic rarely works on floyd, canelo did worse when he pressed , de la hoya did worse when he pressed, maidana got it going and i hear castillo did too but it doesnt suit a lot of guys who try it

Khan faster hands and feet, his defense and movement has improved also. Nobody else.

I'll say this again: Khan's performance against Collazo isn't a good indicator of how he'd do against Floyd. We need to see how Khan does in his next fight to see if the improvements have stuck.

It's always a possibility he could get old overnight, but I don't believe anyone in his era - current or as a younger fighter - could beat him as things stand. Pac is/was the best boxing has to offer outwith Mayweather and no matter when that fight happened/happens it would/will turn out the exact same way - a new shutout for Floyd.

Throughout history there are, of course, fighters who would test him and, of course beat him, but I genuinely believe he's one of the finest boxers of all time.

Of the Fab Four, Hearns would be a favourite against him for me - just based on styles and sizes. I think he'd beat Leonard and Duran and I don't think Hagler is a realistic fight given weights.

Khan has elite level gifts - speed and power - with a D level brain. You can't fix having a low ring IQ. Khan wouldn't beat Floyd because he doesn't have the smarts.
