    Who can guess this fighter?

    Although I stood but 5’6” tall fought between 133-145 pounds, I have a victory over a heavyweight champion.

    Nope. Not Burns either. This fighter never fought above 145-150 pounds.

    this is really hard lol ,,, I mean holy crap obviously this has to be at least a half century ago if not a full century ago, unless it was SRR ? Then again, that was nearly a half century ago anyways, lol

    I don't want to go to box rec as that would be cheating, so I will give a first random guess as SRR while I consider other welterweights from even farther back.

    Not SRR. Keep in mind the fighter never fought above 150 pounds. Hint-hint. The fighter fought after John L Sullivan was champion.

    Is this the heavyweight champion, or someone who held a regional or colored heavyweight title?

    If the latter, Dave Holly holds a win over Sam Langford, who was later world colored heavyweight champ.

    Its not Dave Holly. This mystery man ( for now ) holds a professional win over a lineal heavyweight champion who fought after John L Sullivan.

    He stood 5'6" tall, and fought between 133-145 pounds. Box Rec won't help you with the weights as they were taken out for now!

    Hint-hint, the win obviously did not happen when the lineal heavyweight champion was at his best. Think pre-prime, or post prime.

    For God's sake doesn't anyone know ? It's Walter Price.The clue was in the name of the poster who made the thread! I ran out of patience in the end.:patsch

    Price stopped former heavyweight champion Jack Johnson in 7rds in Boston on the 1st of this month 1938 .
    Johnson was 60 years old and Mendoza has had an erection ever since he found out about it.:lol:
