Somebody who keeps Klitschko on defensive mode and not sitting on his punches, which is the same to say someone who can take jabs while tryin to penetrate with his own punches - Chagaev, Peter ( or Maskaev), Valuev and Povetkin to a certain degree - b'sides anybody can go down... What should be important is not to let him load up on you with straight powershots.

funny enough i think sultan ibragimov has a great chance at going the distance. admittedly i am picking wladimir by brutal ko or tko, but the ingredients are there.

sultan is quick like chris byrd in his prime (and wladimir went the distance with byrd in his prime).

of course sultan doesn't have byrd's chin, so the chances of this happening are slim. BUT when he fought holyfield, i saw a ultra cautious fighter.

if wladimir gets a little frustrated at iggy dancing around the ring all night playing it super safe, he'll settle for a one sided UD by throwing more punches etc. wladimir likes to ko opponents but at the same time never seems in any great urgency to brutalise them. instead he prefers to let the ko's come naturally which is always the best way.

against chris byrd in the rematch, he did go a little aggro but as he said afterwards, byrd and his corner pissed him off no end by constantly talking to him about being a coward etc.

if sultan does what he did against holyfield times 100, he COULD possibly make it to the end. however he was tagged by the ancient and slow holyfield so i doubt this scenario will play out.

aside from iggy, i really cannot see anyone today would could avoid enough punishment to survive against wladimir.

as manny steward said after wlad beat byrd in the rematch. the first fight wlad beat him because he was the bigger man. this time he beat byrd because he was the FASTER man.

so combine the underrated speed with that awesome power and footwork/skills, it would be a mighty challenge for anyone to avoid those punches all night

Valuev would be a sitting duck for him. I actually think Wlad is a horrible matchup for Valuev and would stop him before 9.

I think a better question would be who could go 12 with Pavlik at Middleweight. But the answer to both is that no matter who they fight the smart bet would be that they win by KO. But of course, either one of them could be KO'd as well.

Good points, I feel you might be the most educated Wlad supporter I came across on this site. While I agree there is only a few fighters out there I would give a chance to standing up to Wlads punches for 12 rounds, but you must remember Wlads chin is about as weak as they come and his defense is far from good, even a slower fighter like Peter was able to land pretty frequently. I see Wlad being knocked out very soon, even in the sad state the division is in now, I think a fighter like Valuev or Peter have a decent chance of taking Wlad out, the fact that Wlad hasnt felt a hard punch since Peter in September of 05, could be the difference when he takes on a heavier handed fighter down the rode.
