Isn't it obvious Floyd would just win?

not at all. Cotto uses scary pressure and no longer slows down the stretch add that with the fact that he's ridiculously strong at 147 and you have a recipe for a great great fight

They're both my favorite fighters but I see Mayweather beating Cotto and possible stopping him. We'll see if it comes to fruitation.

Yeah but he's slower than Hatton.. he's only 2 inches taller too.. big deal.

Floyd will win this fight easily, he will pick Cotto apart and probably KO him (he did get knocked down by torres..)

It would be a great fight. Cotto has a MUCH better chance of winning than Hatton. Could he win? Yes. Could he lose? Yes

Cotto works his way inside more effectively than Hatton, he is stronger, he has a jab, his defense is better, and at 147, he has the better chin. Yes, Hatton is faster on his feet, but Cotto has underrated hand speed and puts his shots together better. He's better than Ricky at 147 without question.

PBF would be clear favourite, but if he wants to seal his place in history he has to fight the best around his weight class.

Cotto-PBF would be the biggest fight left at welterweight

In what way, really? Hatton is 10x more aggressive, and faster.

Cotto has proven he can cut the ring off against speedy fighters.....YOU NEVER KNOW UNTIL YOU FIGHT THE FIGHT.... Cotto is OBVIOUSLY the #1 guy in the WW division, so if FLoyd wants to continue then his next fight should be against NO ONE Other then Cotto.

Hatton is a rough swarmer. Cotto is a technical pressure fighter. Both are aggressive and come forward fighters, but Cotto is stronger, hits harder, and works his way inside more effectively. Hatton is quicker on his feet, but Cotto has the better footwork and underrated handspeed. He puts his shots together better on the inside.

Look at Hatton's fights with Collazo and Mayweather, then look at Cotto's fights with Quintana, Urkal, Judah, and Mosley. Cotto is more impressive at welterweight.

It'd be the best end to a great career for Mayweather, imo.

Maybe give Cotto 1 or 2 more biggish and tough fights (e.g. Williams), and get the fight on in a year for the undisputed title. It'd be a great fight.

I agree that Floyd would do in easy in the end, as he always seems to do.
