How did boxing fans get brainwashed? General sports fans are not interested in the "jockey fighters" under 140 lbs. 18 of the top twenty of all time are heavier (see below). No wonder boxing has left the mainstream. Now how many of the weight divisions are UNDER 140 lbs. There are 10! 1. Sugar Ray Robinson 2. This content is protected 3. Henry Armstrong 4. Joe Louis 5. Willie Pep 6. This content is protected 7. Benny Leonard 8. Jack Johnson 9. Jack Dempsey 10. Sam Langford 11. Joe Gans 12. This content is protected 13. Harry Greb 14. This content is protected 15. You are a ****ing idiot..I can name about 5 guys under 126 pounds that would lay you flat out with one punch:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
Ummm....LW and FW hold some of the best fighters ever. And Minimum weight even holds one of the best fighters of the past 20 yrs.
bwa ha ha. I've seen auggie sanchez lay out middleweight professionals with body shots in sparring. Some of these little guys will beat you to death. I promise you Pac or Barrera are generally dangerous men to screw with if you aren't on the world level even if you are much bigger. Hamed with his bare fist can probably knock out just about anybody if he sucker punches them just right.
While this overstates it a bit, I certainly prefer fighters in the 140 and up classes over those below - and I suspect this is true of most boxing fans.
Speak for yourself crazy..all of the actual best fights holding boxing down the last few years have been 135 and below...Corrales Castillo. Vasquez Marquez...both all out action fights with POWER and knockouts..nut stick to posting about chins.
Yup, Marquez and Vazquez type fights sure will save boxing. Fighting guys you beat years ago though.....nah.
You realize one of the rhings that makes boxing to a lot of fans of the sport is that you don't need to be 6ft 5in and 250 lbs to have a chance to secuded.
