Golden Boy is essential to Floyd fighting b/c he's not able to promote himself since "Mayweather Promotions" is not licensed. Floyd has to pay Golden boy a percentage for being his promoter which means GBP has options on Floyd which I'm sure isn't anything like the options GBP has on Vic. Floyd for some reason sticks with Oscar's promotional outfit to put on his fights which I'm guessing is due to the "sweet heart" relationship GoldenBoy and HBO have together.

floyd specifically said the reason he is taking a vacation is because he has no urge to fight. but he was heard before the williams-martinez fight back in november that he is interested in facing the winner giving a hint that he would be back and that was just a couple of months after the 2nd negotiations and that infamous racist-rant video where floyd declared he is taking some time-off.

 

GBP promotes Floyds fights, and Floyd pays them to do that. Floyd is not a GBP's fighter. A poster in his anger lied to posters to fit his pathetic agenda hating on Floyd.
