Echos my thoughts. He's in a bit of an awkward position really, if he does fight again in December then fair play, 3 times a year is a much better effort than most top heavies, however he doesn't need another 'building ' fight and although still a big name he isn't the star attraction he once was. Unless he is In with a big name stadium fights are a thing of the past, which begs the original posters question - if not Wilder, who?

There simply aren't many big names out there and available. But he is going to have to take some kind of risk in his next fight if its to generate real intrest. Another Franklin / Helenius just won't cut it for most fans

Also Dubois knocked AJ out in sparring. Too risky in Hearns eyes.

I witnessed Cornish have his head boxed off by Jon-Lewis Dickinson a few months before the fight so I never fell for it.

Hearn keeps saying AJ operates his own career though, Matchroom just put options down and drive the promotion. Surely at some point AJ lays out his own option and he gives it a go? I don't believe for a second he'd duck Dubois if the promoters could make that fight.

    Big chance its Kabayel.

Parker, Hrgovic, Bakole, Big Bang Zhang, Joyce, Ajagba, Ortiz , Gassiev, Wallin, with a small chance as well.

I doubt it's Kabayel. Like, how would anyone sell that fight? "He beat a flat Chisora 6 years ago!" A casual audience likely won't have a clue who he is.

It kind of made sense for Fury's team to throw Kabayel's name out there as they were both Top Rank, but I don't see the benefit to Joshua except being cheap and staying active. Personally, I reckon Joshua would get pilloried if they made Kabayel, and it potentially damages the DAZN brand in the process.

I don't see it. The others you listed, yeah, much better options all round.

edit: actually, you know what, I overlooked something quite major: Kabayel is ranked across the various sanctioning bodies, and Hearn does love a top 15 opponent. So, you might well be right!

Joshua is simply yesterday's fish and chip paper now.

The public have seen through the Hearn spin and lies realising clearly they were sold a pup spun as Anthony 'Ali' Joshua.

Never mind DAZN not putting up with a non PPV fight, the public will never support another PPV fight in big numbers unless it is against Wilder or Fury.

Even those fights have lost some appeal now after his previous 4 timid performances. Can easily see Fury v Chisora total mismatch and stoppages if he faces either Fury or Wilder.

Joshua is the new Chisora and the public see it.

Is this satire or do you really believe Joshua is the new Chisora? Joshua lost to arguably the number 1 in the division twice and he’s beat everyone else he’s fought, I still think he’s top 5 in the division.

I did laugh at the “Anthony Ali Joshua” though.. Still don’t understand why they tried to package AJ as the second coming of Ali instead of the first Anthony Joshua, the white robe always gets me..

Still convinced that AJ takes a burner in December like Kabayel then Wilder in 2039..

I really believe Anthony Joshua is the new Chisora and will take the title 'War Joshua' when Chisora retires.

I'd like it to be one of Hrgovic, Hunter, Sanchez, Bakole or Makhmudov. All better than Wilder.

That’s a bit harsh mate. The new Chisora, I don’t think anyone would want to be thought of as that. Yuck.

How is Michael Hunter better than Wilder? I cannot stand Wilder, I think he is rubbish and a stain to the Olympic bronze medal that he somehow won, however the Hunter being better comparison is complete crap.

    Interesting mate BUT
    1. Parker. Very inactive himself and already clearly beat by AJ.
    2. Hyrgovic. Just fought. Very inactive, plus too dangerous if AJ ever wants that lucrative Wilder fight. No chance.
    3. Zhang. Boxing this month. No chance hes out again in December.
    4. Ajagba. Looked very good in his last fight, which was also too recent to fight in December. But I think he'd take it if offered.
    5. Gassier. Fighting very soon. No chance.
    6. Wallin. If he beats Gassier hell be in line for a title shot, so wouldn't take an AJ fight.

Last line. AJ isn't fighting in December.

That black and white photo of him standing over Klitschko beside the iconic Ali Liston shot tickled me pink
