I honestly thought it would be competitive, Big Gaz looked young and strong and I didn't rate AJ too highly lol. Why didn't Gaz continue fighting, plenty of fighters have had decent careers after savage early losses. Even during the fight I actually saw some potential and AJ can whack very hard
There's dozens of legit people AJ could fight in December lol..? The problem is Eddie/Matchroom/DAZN are desperate to tread this tightrope of rebuilding AJ with easy-ish fights but simultaneously making them hard enough to keep AJ in the conversation with other top 'eavyweights (and rake in the DAZN PPV buys as well of course!) So we're ending up with weird matchups like the Franklin experiment, Whyte trilogy and most recently Helenius Maybe AJ himself isn't helping, expecting certain purses, but if he was serious about his rebuild like Lennox was post-McCall, he would be fighting 3-4 times a year, telling Eddie and co. what HE wants. A Ruiz rubber match wouldn't be a bad idea in all honesty Another problem is that AJ's championship reign was built on the idea that he was facing the best. Now I admit his reign was better than whatever the f*ck Wilder and now Fury were doing, but outside of Wlad and Povetkin, I wasn't falling for the ''Takam/Pulev are top 10 heavyweights'' sh*te Eddie was pulling over fans eyes - the same fans who now expect AJ to take hard fight after hard fight To be perfectly honest I'm finding 'the rebuilding of Anthony Joshua' arc to be just as tedious and boring as Tyson Fury's clownish career post-Wilder trilogy. I wish this pair of clowns would retire. I also want Wilder and Usyk to retire after fighting each other ideally, and then 200+ can move on like the rest of boxing is doing....................
Parker wouldn’t be a bad shout although it’s hardly breaking new ground. The Wilder fight is the one that I’d like to see.
Whyte fight still would have been interesting but getting Helenius as a late sub was pretty poor, hopefully he fights someone decent in December. Fury post Wilder is probably worse tbh, Fury is at the top of his game so no excuses
Apart clearly being the better all round boxer , Hunter has a better career win than Wilder has in Bakole (which is better than Ortiz who dropped twice by C.Martin of all people).
Hunter’s last fight was a draw with Jerry Forrest almost 2 years ago. Do you think Wilder would draw with Jerry Forrest?
On the contrary, I think Uncle Frank would be more than happy to collect his percentage for that fight. I honestly don’t know what other possible route Frank can take to try to bring him back to the big time after the pathetic way he gave up against Usyk. Frank has also made it clear in this interviews that he is extremely pissed off with how it ended for him, but stopped short of completely ripping him. He will be thinking i’ve got Itauma coming through, Adeleye and Wardley no matter who wins are both now with him. If Joyce comes through next week he’s in the stable etc…He won’t be too worried if Dubois gets done again especially if he can make a few quid in the process.
You know what , this never crossed my mind but now you said it... I'm all for it! Hell yeah, I want Pricey
Hunter got an Olympic bronze medal has he? No he hasn’t, so stop talking nonsense. Last time out he couldn’t even beat Jerry Forrest and hasn’t boxed for almost 2 years. Starting to become irrelevant I’m afraid. A bit like your post.
Don't bother with him haha. Him all of a sudden coming back makes me think that he was part of the dramashow account too
Be interested to see him fight Jarrell Miller still. Reckon AJ would be psychologically defeated in the weigh in and press conference
"I'll tell you a good fight if that doesn't happen. You know what would be a good fight in the UK and people would buy tickets to watch it and we'll see who is the biggest puncher and who has got the biggest heart? Him [Joshua] and Daniel Dubois. That would sell out anywhere. Before you start your hate, that would determine who has got the biggest heart, who would grit their teeth. You can't say it's not going to sell. It would sell. It's a big fight." Frank Warren.
He's been writing that same post for a good 5 years now, it's all he/that account talks about. Don't feed the troll haha, you're far too good a poster to be getting dragged in his rubbish.
