I could envision a Ruddock-esque war with the 90s version of Tyson. But prime Tyson would probably beat him fairly easily.
The 1992 Bowe against that Tyson would have been an tremendous fight. He would have had a chance if he could have imposed his height and size advantages though my money would have still being on Tyson.
I know he would get dominated but it would still be exciting to see. Tua would be able to stand in there and slug for at least a while
I don't agree. Louis was not a fluid mover. Tyson is going to get inside and do damage. Tyson has a good enough chin to take shots from Louis and fire back.
I think Tyson beats any version of Larry Holmes tbh I think Tyson-Frazier is a difficult pick I think Toledo Dempsey, '35 Louis, Big Cat Ali, '08 J Johnson and Rocky beat Tyson, Liston I'd probably lean towards, Foreman could be interesting - I think prime for prime Spinks Tyson beats Ruddock Lennox and Foreman Holy - I think Tyson beats Walcott and Charles - though Walcott would be interesting I think
1) Agreed. Mike will always be all wrong for Larry. 2) Tyson is a better version of Joe, IMO. Better head movement, better left hook, better power, better finisher. Mike would starch Joe in a fire-fight.
someone able to come forward and slug it out with mike better than he could, possibles include joe frazier, rocky Marciano for a ko win. someone who could razor jab his way to a slim points win. truth is, mike Tyson when young could still have got so much better, he was a mere fledgling at his trade at the time, its a travesty he didn't have the psyche and/or opportunity to develop his skills further during his physical prime (lates 20s early 30s)
Based on what exactly? This is a myth. They were similar but not the same. This is debatable though I disagree. Tyson has a better left hook than Frazier? What the hell are you on?! But thanks for the laugh. I agree. Based on what? The fact that every single unafraid fighter that stood up to Tyson at the very least, gave him hell?
