How many current hw's would beat prime Corrie more often than they lost? Honestly, taking Fury out of it, not sure if anyone would be a solid favorite. I think modern, shotish Wlad would lose, Joshua and Wilder would be 50/50 at best. While I rate them all higher than the following, I actually think that stylisticly, Povetkin Ortiz and Parker might have a slightly better chance against Sanders. No one else would have a decent chance.
He'd pose problems for any of the top heavyweights, that much I'm certain of. But I'll let the haters come in here and figure that out.
But Wilder beats him clearly because you like him. Povetkin, Ortiz, and Parker scare the hell out of you.
Yeah, I probably agree. I.e., no one, 2016 Wlad or anyone else would more likely than not consistently beat 2003-4 Corrie
Plenty. Sanders was a one-trick pony with a dodgy chin. Sure, he was dangerous, but he was just as beatable. And his power is overrated. If a very mediocre Rahman with a long history of getting poleaxed could take Sanders' best to rally late and stop him, so could many current HWs.
Rahman, who went life and death with Sanders and benefited from a BS standing count, blitzed The Lion in his next fight lest we forget.
The fact you mention six that you give a chance to beat him, kinda answers your own question: plenty would, but probably in competitive fights.
We're talking a guy that didn't dedicate himself to the sport 100% and still got the belt! I believe the Sanders that lost to Vitali loses to most if not all the top heavies today. A 100% dedicated Sanders reeks havoc on todays heavies and would probably be able to unify. But, when was there ever a 100% dedicated sanders?
