Did you know pazienza is the same height as quawi, duran and langford?
Also greb is listed as 5ft 8,similiar in height to hagler, dick tiger and toney.....
Duran knocked down paz by the way.....
ps; hopkins green? Well roy was also inexperienced and at his tightest weight class with an injured hand.....
At what stage in his career does hopkins beat jones? Answer: none, zip, nada. As hoppo got older he became more skilled but more conservative, and a conservative counter puncher aint beating a roided out speedster like jones......

How do you know he wasnt at his best at 28? Do you think he was at his best at 35/6 (Trinidad)? He may be more skillfull at 36 but he will lose his speed, stamina, workrate and reactions. So against Trinidad Hopkins was not the same physcial specimen he was against Jones

When do you earmark his prime?

    1. Same height, Jones gets to physically impose himself in the same way. Its a stylistic issue, I can't see a 5'8 man beating Jones - Hagler/Quawi included

    2. Again Greb isn't unknockoutable, I didn't pick a KO but its a possibility and not an unlikely 1.

    3. A green Harry Wills, the same Harry Wills that Langford couldnt repeat the KO feat of in 19-20 bouts?

You're assuming a Prime RJJ cant KO an inexperienced Wills late on (when hes probably not used to fighting long distances) and in the young inexperienced fighters career he may well have been completely out of steam in the 14th.

"He's taller" is a bit weak, in my view.

I consider it basically impossible given Jones' style and poor history against elite chins.

He knocked Wills out twice. He'd around 30 fights for the first one.

    Jones beats all the SMW's.

But all the big hitters in the LtHvy Divison could have the chance to knock him out ....if Tarver can do it, so could they.

Jones is very fast, but his chin is there to be hit.

Moore, Spinks, Charles knocked out heavies......Foster left other lightheavies out cold for minutes.
