IF channel 5 were to show more boxing they are going to need more than just eubank, kid galahad and fury.
so who could they realistically get? would they just stick with hennessy or would they involve other promoters? presumably those promtoers would have to be 'lower level' - coldwell, fearon etc.?
the boxers we've seen on 5 have similar traits - decent level of ability, pleasing styles and a 'story' that hooks the interest of the general public.

so who else out there ticks those 3 boxes?:think choi and woodhouse certainly do, but anyone got more (sensible) suggestions?

the Sky contracts are up this year. If C5 want more boxing they could get any promoter on board besides Fish Eyes (obviously) and probably Matchroom (close ties to Sky with a lot of sports)

Why not try and strike a deal with fisheyes, If he could give them one show a month with a decent name it would give his boxers a better profile being as they would get more exposure to the general public, his channel would get advertised (as part of the deal) which could be huge for them especially in terms of advertising big fights like Cotto/Mayweather etc.

I wouldn't expect him to give them Mitchell, Burns, Chisora etc but guys like Callum Johnson, Brad Saunders, Ronnie Hefron, Frank Buglioni (is he an Allegedly boxer?) etc could really benefit from the exposure and then if successful and Box Nation is still going he can switch them over when they have a good fan-base.

More small hall promoters, could do shows on a Thursday night no problem, up here we have Phil jeffries who has guys like Glen Foot, Jonson McLumpha, Paul Archer, peter Cope etc who could all benefit from tv exposure and I'm sure their are plenty of small promotions around the country the could switch up on a weekly basis.

If Mick can headline with Galahad it can't be that hard for to sign guys to fill the dates

I could see a Cleverly-Krasniqi type fight being on 5 to expose Clev. Plug during the show on 5 that you have Hopkins that night on Boxnation and then in theory have a bigger Clev fight a couple of months later on Boxnation

    It's a shame Matchroom won't go to channel 5.

yeah but do Primetime even have anything any more, its seems like BoxNation or Sky have taken all the fights they had and they are focussing on other sports now.

I'm not saying they will do this but i think it would be a good deal that both parties could benefit from. maybe's thats to much sense for boxing though.

And remember from next season amateur goes to the 10 point must system without head guards so its an easier sell as well
