After watching these 2 fight for over a decade now, i do come to wonder who could have coped with both their styles in a dominating way. basically overall who could have done to these 2 what they have now been doing to other fighters, in a clear way? ever... thanksforreadingyouhaveanicedaynow
Prime Oscar puts the hurt on them both. The usual, Hearns, SRL. Even Hagler. He was a middleweight weighing in the day of the fight. Today, Hagler might of made lightmiddle. Hagler vs Mayweather. That's all I have to say. He'd teach Floyd a lesson.
The hagler who fought Hearns in 85 would walk mayweather down and stop him late on - Hagler from 87 who 'lost' to leonard - would be too slow and ponderous - he faded a lot after hearns and mugabi wars . from 154 to 160 hagler ko's manny in a brutal war of attrition . Robinson had too much of everything for both floyd and manny - a properley rested Robinson ( not coming off a fight a week tour like prior to the Turpin loss ) makes easy work of manny and schools floyd . Armstrong - whips Floyd and Manny at 147 , Ko's Khan at 140 on the way down to beating marquez at 135 - no bull**** - he actually did something similiar in one year against ATG opposition.
Why even bring up Hagler? The guy was huge compared to Pac and Floyd, that's not even a fair fight. I would favor Hearns, Leonard, and Duran over either fighter. Sweet Pea would have given both fighters absolute fits and test their abilities to adapt.
I think pac gets beaten by many people troughout history at 147 but he holds his own vs anyone at 140, he is a small ww. Floyd gets detsroyed by fab 4, ray robinson, prime oscar, prime whitaker etc.
Prime PBF doesn't get destroyed by anyone, he has arguably the best defence ever, and is very adaptable.
Sugar Ray Leonard, I'm surprised by how little he is mentionned when talking about recent times greats
