Stylistically, I don't know how I see Manny beating Floyd, even though I hope he does.

The reason is because he can't outbox May, he has to hurt him and beat him down. However, I don't see May beating a taller fighter that knows how to fight tall with a solid jab and great defense (don't say Victor Ortiz who was an inch taller than May, he boxes coming forward) I really dont see how May could have beaten Sugar Ray Leonard at any point in their respective primes.

Ray could outbox and knockout May in my honest opinion.

Who do you think stylistically could have beaten May?

Actually I believe Robinson and Hearns could both knock out Mayweather and Pacquiao on the same night.

I reckon he'd beat Leonard - but I'd fancy Hearns would beat him. Stylistically all wrong for Mayweather, his defence would be taken away by Hearns' towering height and speed.

Leonard humiliated Sr and his cross guard shoulder roll. Leonard's lateral movement is simply too good. Floyd wouldn't be able to keep him in the pocket.

SRL's own brother - and strategist - said Mayweather would have beat him.

Comparing Mayweather Jr to his father as a fighter is laughable too.

It's comparing styles. The cross guard is extremely vulnerable too fast lateral movement. Floyd would not be able to keep Leonard in the pocket.

But I suppose you are right Leonard might not humiliate him only beat his ass.

comparing FLoyd and Manny to SRL and Hearns in their prime is laughable. I bet if they fought at 147 the size difference would be big

The Old fight Fans think that nobody in the history can beat SRL or Hearns, that is their standards, the era after that thought nobody could beat Mike Tyson, the older ones think that Willie Pep was the greatest of all time or Joe Louis.

God I get sick of hearing the same names time after time again. To all you younger fight fans why don't you start holding these OLD Fight Fans feet to fire ask them about the other fighters of that era, since they only seem to be able bring up the same four people everytime (Hagler, Hearn,Leonard, Duran). Ask these fight fans to tell you about other fighters of that era, Larry Bonds, Edwin Rosario, Dave Green, Wilfred Binitez.....

Many of these so call Old Fight Fans didn't follow the sport back then either, those are just the most popular fighters of their era. Similar to someone asking about the fighters of this era and all you have is Floyd and Pac. even though there are hundreds of other fighters that are contributing to the sport.

Duran would have gotten Gattied. Mayweather is not stupid to fight him like SSL fought him in their first fight.
