I think Zapata would outbox Lopez.

And who mentioned Fighting Harda?

Harada would beat Lopez up badly.

 

We could sing the same tune that goes with almost every fantasy match up involving George Foreman. "Well if they can survive past 4-6 rounds, they can knock George out hurrr durrr."

 

I consider Torres I Chang's best performance, given the level of dominance and how dangerous the opponent was. Chitalada I is also impressive, at least until Chitalada butted him and cut him badly - forcing Chang to go on a bit of a shell.

As frequently the case, we see eye-to-eye. I think Finito beats everyone at junior flyweight except Chang. At flyweight, the majority of all-time top 10-15 guys beats him. Heck, I'd pick Chan-hee at his best to beat Finito.

Unfortunately due to Don King not really giving a **** about Finito, we missed out on a lot of potentially great fights and he became a guy that fought just once a year near the end of his career. Finito is a great, great fighter. Much better than what his all-time rankings usually are. Some people do overrate him. Usually the types who don’t watch lower weights but want to act like they do so use his name but I also think some people can go too hardcore and spite those folks and underrate him. He was fantastic against almost everyone. Ohashi, Sorjaturong (not long before beating Chiquita), Sanchez, Petelo, Grigsby we’re very good scalps in excellent performances at mostly good points in those guys careers and of course there’s the win over an over the weight, superb Rosendo Alvarez in a great fight.

I would favor him over anybody under flyweight. I rate Chocolatito as having the better career and I do think Chocolatito having a really nice inside game and great combinations would make it neck and neck but Roman does always tend to get hit. Getting hit by Lopez isn’t advised. Chang is another I think brings out the absolute best in Lopez and would make it very difficult, particularly when he’s coming at different angles and in bunches but I would give Lopez a slight edge there too. Lopez vs. Chiquita would be fun and they absolutely hated (still do) each other but of course they had the same trainer, manager and gym.

 

Lopez might beat some of the smaller, outside fighters at flyweight (perhaps even Canto) or the chinnier types (like Kittikasem, Ohba at a stretch) or those that shipped a lot of punishment and didn’t always put it together all that well (like Oguma) but generally he wouldn’t do too well there IMO.

I think Gonzalez might well beat Lopez at 108 as well. Chang certainly. I think I’d favour Lopez to put a good one on Zapata at some point, but no guarantee, that herky herky slickness might well play havoc with his rigid textbook style

 

I'd favor Canto, but Finito beating him wouldn't surprise me. Canto does not fare well against the weight's greatest in head-to-head, in my estimation. The rest of your views sound sensible, too.

Perhaps Harada if the fight takes place in Japan

 

Harada would destroy Finito, regardless of whether they fought in Tokyo, Mexico City, or Mars. Not in the same class.

I repeat: No flyweight of my lifetime beats Harada at his best.
