Respond ing to shavers wlad isnt as agressive as lewis thats why he wins late but he does have more powdr then lewiz
Lewis Although I think Wlad may have a harder jab but Lewis had more all around power and his right hand was lethal
I do not want to start a debate on the Lennox vs. Vitali fight, but Lennox was not able to knock Vitali out although he connected flush.
Lewis also landed flush on Mavrovic. Vitali is known for his iron chin though. Mavrovic probably is made of titatium as well.
I remember him saying Wlad hit harder too. Good enough for me. Didn't roach say he hit harder than Tyson too?
Tyson was completely shot and didn't have the velocity on his punches like he did in his prime years when Roach was training him Wlad does pack serious power though
I think Lewis only because he would sometimes throw very loopy loadedup shots. Wlad throws straight or correct hooks with less travel time and less chance to loadup. I think when it comes to shot for shot Wlad throws harder, but Lewis could loadup and wing a shot harder than anything Wlad will throw. That said IF Wlad would throw not holding anything back im convinced he would hit harder. Steward even said himself Wlad was the hardest hitting he ever seen and that he often holds back in fear or hurting someone badly. So in short, Jab, Left hook, Straight right/cross i think Wlad hits harder, Looping hook/hayemaker/uppercut Lewis hits harder.
Mike was better at landing the KO blow, but as far as pure PSI of their best blow, I have no doubt that either Lewis or Wladimir would test out a healthy margin above any 217 lb heavyweight. Its not all about size, of course, but these are big tall guys with great leverage and technique who are ALSO considerably heavier and in great shape.
Thats the only accurate bit. Especially a few years ago, Wlads hands were insanely fast for a HW.... Lewis never had anything resembling that kind of hand speed.
