Neither do I think Lewis his right hand is more powerful.(as Wlad his right)

Lewis was more versatile and threw (better) combinations.(Lewis also was more accurate)

Once in a while. It's usually about a 1/10000 ratio.

Although, I think in the Peter fight Manny was specifically trying to get him to use it and it's pretty much the deciding punch that hurt Peter in the stoppage.

And you pretty much never see Volo throwing this much to get his stoppage.

Look how devastating he was when he faced Botha and Grant in 2000...Lewis flattened Botha in 2 rounds years later Wlad fought Botha and hammered him for 8 rounds before Botha decided to quit..theres a big difference in power between these two..
Against Rahman Wlad connected with lots of big overhand rights through the fight , no real effect. Sure Wlad can punch too, but his power is severely overrated.

Razor Ruddock was about as overhyped as Grant himself... and never amounted to much of anything. You are really overexaggerating the division then and the division now. Just because they aren't all American fighters with the American media hyping them up, doesn't mean that they are any better or worse. It's actually more competitive now because you have the entire world producing top talent and entering into pro boxing scene. Boxing all around has become much more global, which has resulted in much less American champs across the board... and all of the sudden people seem to believe that the sport is dying or that the competition has gone downhill. It's silly. We are talking about the best boxers in the ENTIRE WORLD, these guys are amazing at what they do.

Besides that, Lewis was in a very good era in the 90's (although that era was critized just like this one at the time).... yet Lewis managed to NOT FIGHT ANY OF THE OTHER BEST FIGHTERS OF THAT ERA DURING THEIR PRIMES. So, what good does it do to pound on about how great his era was? Did he fight Bowe in the pros? Prime Tyson? Prime Holyfield? Prime Moorer? Did he even fight Foreman when he was making noise? Hell no... he was content to play behind the curtains until all of those stars burnt out and then he took over the division for a very short period of time afterward. Simple as that. I hold his win over Mike Tyson about as high as I hold Holmes win over Ali.

Wlad has fought better comp. He has taken out the other Champs, he has taken out all of the young contenders.. undefeated fighters... EVERYONE. His reign has been longer and much more dominant than Lewis'. He also didn't vacate his titles to avoid his #1 contenders like Lewis did with Byrd and Ruiz. Which may have been understandable if it wasn't for the fact that Lewis was so inactive that he really didn't have any excuse for not fighting them... Lewis still found the time to somehow give Botha a title shot after he was just recently brutally knocked out by Tyson.

Take an unbiased look at their actual resumes... consider the circumstances at which they fought... and you can't come away thinking that Lewis fought better opposition and proved himself against better fighters. It's just crazy.

I would say It took Wladimir 12 rounds to hit Eddie clean. Besides, Eddie has fought Derrick Rossy, Calvin Brock, Povetkin, Sam Peter, Dimitriko...who else stopped Eddie? No one. So we agree then. Haye made it through beacause Wladimir couldnt hit him clean (outside of a couple reaching right hands) regardless of the reason, and Lewis threw bombs at a much more stationary small target and couldn't drop him once.

That stat can be interpreted however you want, but there is no way to accept that a guy with an 82% ko ratio never lets his hands go. You may not like his method, but there is no denying that the guy gets the job DONE!! :good
