Who could Roy Jones beat at HW?

we talking heavyweights when they held titles...? maybe the Douglas that lost to Holyfield....maybe the Moore that lost to Foreman....berbick. leon spinks.....chris byrd???

 

old school guys...hmmmm tommy burns i think is a pretty good bet....but than again..they say tommy had a killer right hand.

 

I think he could beat a lot of the heavyweights that weren't really heavyweights but cruisers and light heavies. Prime Jones is about 185 lbs, and that Jones doesn't need to gain unnecessary mass like he did against Ruiz. I think Jones viciously clowns the decrepit Joe Louis that Marciano beat. I also think he beats late 70s shot Ali.

 

Hard to say for me, since he only fought Ruiz. What do you guys thing about Patterson? Is it a matter of who lands first?

 

I wouldn't pick him to beat anyone great. There are probably a myriad of contenders, fragment title holders, and decent heavys that he should be favored against, but not anybody elite.

 

I can see Jones beating Walcott.....and Tunney....I would say Schmeling, but no...not really....

 

Very, very, few. Marvin Hart? Probably none.

 

A nice few but no one elite, great or very good.

really dude? anyone under 200? for one, louis was under 200 in fights? but are you so sure that he beats Charles, or Dempsey, or Tunney. I mean really, that Ruiz fight..the first round, Jones looked worried and shock. than he broke Ruiz's nose, and Johnny turned into a *****.

 

He would not beat Carnera.

 

he wouldnt even fight carnera, or willard or SNV to find out. remember how scarred he was to fight James Buster Douglas?
