We know of young talented Heavyweights like Tyson Fury, David Price, Seth Mitchell. The next generation of the Heavyweights, because you do have to admit the Klitschkos are gettin old. So who could be someone who could take over the guard as Heavy Champion from the Ex Soviet countries?

I don't think anyone of the current crop would unify the division. I think the belts would be spread out over a number of contenders who would all claim champion status and avoid fighting each other. A completely new name would have to emerge before we can have another true champion.

Ondrej Pala and Francesco Pianeta are 2 names that no one has heard to much about that are fairly good. They both are young and show good tallent. Pianeta was on a roll for a while, but then got testicular cancer and that derailed his career a bit. It is not clear if he has fully recovered from that.

I don't see Price or Mitchell taking over. Price has shown that he has a shaky chin in the amatures and Mitchell is to crude. If he gets into a match with a good boxer he'll be outclassed.

My top picks are either Pulev or Fury. Pulev was semi-succesful in the amatures, but his bruising style has transfered well into the pros. He's not flashy and not fast, but he keep coming at you and lands heavy blows. Kinda of a foremanish type style. Fury is young (23) and he's suprised me with how well he has done. He definetely can be hurt as his last fights have shown, but he is suprisingly mobile for someone his size and has a decent inside game for a tall fighter. The main thing is he keeps winning against decent opposition and he wasn't protected early, taking on stiffer comp than most of the other competitors out there. I have a feeling he's going to get stopped sometime, but I think he'll pick up a belt sometime in the next 10 years.

I don't even think Pianeta is the beast heavyweight in Italy if truth be told (Modugno is better IMO)

Glazkov is the pick of the bunch coming through for me, Gerber and Andy Ruiz Jr could be worth keeping an eye on to be title holders in the long run.

My picks would be either Luis Ortiz or Denis Boytsov.

Looks like Wlad is still going to be there for a while, so maybe Price or Szpilka (the real youngsters)

    Best fifteen up-and-coming heavyweights:

    David Price
    Seth Mitchell
    Mike Perez
    Vyacheslav Glazkov
    Edmund Gerber

    Bogdan Dinu
    Robert Helenius
    Kubrat Pulev
    Joe Hanks
    Bryant Jennings

    Deontay Wilder
    Ondrej Pala
    Magomed Abdusalamov
    Michael Wallisch
    Artur Szpilka

Sadly, some good ones like Wilder, Pala, and Dinu have poor management.

Others like Mitchell, Pulev, Gerber and Abdusalamov are being handled wisely.
