Forgive me but I am learning fan of the sport, so I thought the best place to ask this question is here.

If a fight is due to take place who will decide on the Referee and Judges, the promoter, the athletic commission or the sanctioning body like WBC, WBA ect.

And does it differ from a title fight to a non- title fight.

To the best of my knowledge,in non world title bouts the local commission appoints the judges and ref's.In world title fights the sanctioning body through co-coperation of the local commission appoints the judges and ref's.Hope that helps.\ie.-If it's a WBC World Title fight the WBC will appoint the judges and ref's with the approval or co coperation of the local commission.:good

Fatcity I think covered it well.

The WBA or so will come up with a name, It'll get passed to the commission who consider the credentials of the referee and then yay or nay him. After that's done, the name is passed onto the two fight camps and they can yay or nay it.
