Michael Spinks had a much slower hands, much slower feet, sloppy jab, poor balance, didn't have much of a lead right and didn't have the best chin himself. He also was a left hooker with a far inferior left hook, so when they are in a position to throw hooks Jones would land first. Technical he's good and throws great combinations at mid range but he'd need to land that first punch to get to that range, Prime Jones is 1 of the hardest fighters to hit in the history of boxing. Based on that I see Spinks getting beat to the punch time and again

I agree taking the meaningful fights into consideration they are about equal but i do think the two big wins for Jones vs the draw with Chavez for Pea holds Pea back.

Also Pea may be undefeated in the time frame but imagine being a judge at the time and seeing both of them. Yes Pea looks better if you take a look at both at their very best, only by a fraction though. They had seen Pea look much less incredible against some people in comparison to Jones.

Please stop saying `the draw` with Chavez because all that does is make it look like your trying to give a bit of legitimacy to corrupt judging, Whitaker won & everyone should acknowledge it as such.

. But the manner of victory was emphatic for Jones, winning every round against many peoples P4P no1 and beating a future P4P no1 easily with 1 hand. Destroying a LHW champ of 10 years in 4 rounds. Knocking out ranked contenders in 1-2 rounds that had never been stopped facing the likes of Benn/Toney/Eubank/Julian Jackson.

Nah, Hopkins & Toney weren`t greater or better than Chavez... Chavez was seen as 1 of the greatest fighters in the whole history of boxing without dispute & he was p4p no1 as well as 87-0 when Whitaker beat him, lets not get carried away talking silly now.

How are Toney and Bhop (too green imo) better than Chavez and Prime Oscar.. Shoot I'd even through Nelson in there as being as good a win as Toney and Bhop
