    I always thought Usyk clearly beat Briedis and the effort put forth by Mairis in that fight was indeed excellent… but a bit blown out of proportion by some. Usyk landed the better more damaging shots and won that fight with his superior ring generalship.

    Now floyd on the other hand… completely got a gift against Castillo imo. I’ve watched that fight through probably 8-9 times now and don’t get how floyd walked away with the win in that one. Horrible judging. Castillo applied constant effective pressure and landed more shots than floyd. Jose landed 107 more power shots FFS! Corruption at its finest right there :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    You could score the fight for JLC or Floyd. Very tough fight but there was no robbery.

    JABBR, the AI stat tracking folks, went back and ran their analysis on the Usyk/Breidis fight. Which confirmed what I always thought. That it really wasn't razor close. Breidis is a dawg and came to bang, but Usyk is just, ya know, better. Fighting the future HoFer in his home country and having that crook Metcalfe as a judge made the scorecards closer than they should have been.

    Yeah I always thought Briedis made a VERY good account of himself in this fight but clearly lost to Usyk when the smoke cleared.

    Mayweather-Castillo was in my humble opinion a loss for Floyd. Usyk won.

    Both deserved to win close decisions in different ways.

    Mayweather won all the early rounds as Castillo did very little and Castillo's late surge in the 2nd half of the fight wasn't quite enough to make up for the hole he dug himself in the first 5 rounds.

    Usyk pulled it out in the 2nd half of the fight winning a majority of the rounds.

    Yeah, he did. And he did it with a screwed up shoulder. Floyd is a terrible human being, but he was a wizard in the ring. Castillo gave a good account of himself, but no, he didn't win that fight.

    I never understood the controversy in the first Castillo fight. I guess Castillo finishing strong gave the impression that the fight was his, but he lost too many of the early rounds to claim so.

    Floyd has a lot of haters who just chat shyte to put him down. They also think he lost to ODL and Maidana, lol. Some even think he lost to Manny. But I guess it's only Pacman fanboys.
