After the Super Six finishes later this year, there will be a bit of a fight to decide who gets first shot at the winner.

    Here are the three options:

Lucian Bute: If reports are to be believed, Showtime have promised Bute first crack at the winner after he singned his multi fight deal towards the back end of last year. His fight with Magee will be tougher than expected, I promise you that.

Mikkel Kessler: The comebacking Kessler has been promised first crack at the winner by the WBC after he had to vacate due to his injury and become emeritus champion.

The runner up: What would happen if the decsion (if there is one) in the final was contentious. Say Ward beats Froch via hometown decision. Froch will want an immediate rematch.

So who you think deserves a shot at the Super Six winner first, whoever he is?

    Bute.

That would finally settle the whos number 1 at 168. It has been a long hard road to the final and if Bute can win then its obvious he probably could have beaten everyone in the tourney. I know styles make fights but as long as the tourney wins without any foul play i believe that does crown the best at 168. Even though im a lil skeptical on Ward being he is being prepped to win this tournament.

not so much "DESERVES" but would be adequate if Bute fights the winner so we know who #1 supermiddle is.

Why is Bute considered anywhere near #1? He is an excellent fighter but his resume stinks... everyone in the super 6 has fought and beat much better competition in their respective careers

Exactly why I´d like to see him face the S6 winner.

And who's fault is it that the tournament occupied all of the best six 6 in the division AND left him out? ;)

Definitely Bute should fight the winner.

Its true that Bute has been frozen out. He offered Stieglitz a chance at a unification and he and Universum turned it down.

But I'm telling you. Dont underestimate Magee. Good fighter and will give Bute problems.

Stieglitz is rumored to fight the winner of Asikainen-Wilczewski.

I think its the same idea as how Donaire is rated so highly everywhere when all he has accomplished is a win over Darchinyan who has proved less and less effective as he went up in weight.

Its one good win and he is normally ranked top 10 p4p when there is many fighters with much better resumes. Its all based on speculation given his talents. I find it an insult to Montiel who has achieved much more and is not in that top 10 even though he is in Donaires weight class and is unified champ.

Right now the bantamweight div is similar to the smw division the winners of their fights need to face each other to get a clear number 1.

That would be a great idea. Kessler putting his claim to the WBC belt at risk in an all or nothing fight with Bute.
