Yes he was, infact he held the WBO title so scrap the belt he is still atleast one of the top five welters out there.

Fair enough. I think he's a great fighter too. It's his ****in' mouth I have a problem with. I utterly ****ing DESPISE ****-talking loud mouth fighters...It's one thing to dramtize fights and that's all marketing...but when you're not even fighting...your mouth needs to be ****in shut.

But otherwise...the man is a legend in our era no doubt. His legacy at 130 and 135 alone will put him up there. All the other fights are icing on the cake. But if he really wants to climb to the highest peak of his potential, he needs to fight ONE of the best at the WW division...

Hello...my name is Varg and I'm an addict :nut:lol:

(large room of other ESB addicts) "HELLO VARG"

I love this site and all the back and forth...I think some people take it a bit too far with the insults...that's just childish and uncalled for, but the debates are what I enjoy doing. I'm pretty pugnacious when it comes to fighting, arguing, debating etc. etc. so this is all in fun :smoke

This is actually the first time I've seen this long of a Mayweather thread without Scar popping up...all the other usuals have...EXCEPT Scar...and he's the wisest of the bunch, next to Nallege.

I have unfinished business with Scar :deal

If you're not blown away with that list, sure you must be blown away with this list maybe?

    Sebastian Lujan
    Kermit Cintron
Andrew "Six Heads Zero Chins" Lewis
    and last but not least!
    Manuel "Unranked" Gomez

    :lol::lol:

That's a list coming from someone claiming to be a legitimate Welterweight. The real question is where the hell was this real Welterweight when an already unified WBC/WBA/IBF Champion(s) was around?

We have seen guys like DLH/Mosley/Forrest/Mayorga/Spinks/Judah and Baldomir hold that title since 2001, where was Margarito? :huh

Surely, you want me to believe that all those guys ducked him and he broke the record by making an ENTIRE division duck him?. Sorry man, I'm not from Tijuana to believe such complete bull**** especially when I see 4 losses on his record(at the time) with zero avenged and zero attempted to avenge.

As far as I remember, if you were even around back then(I have my doubts after reading a few of your posts), Margarito was quickly looked at as the new Vivian Harris of 147 for Mayweather who haters will nuthug as hard as possible to try and make it look like Mayweather is turning down someone when in reality that someone hasn't accomplished jack****.

Mayweather deserves it more ... when you're undefeated there are more guys looking to step up to the challenge of giving you your first loss.

The fact that Mayweather had to be damn near perfect for 12 yrs and for what he's accomplished I would have to give it to him.

He faced much harder competition coming up the ranks ... and he had an even harder task maintaining some kinda consistancy.

Margarito has 5 L's ... his most recent to an up and comer Paul Williams (who was fighting in his first title fight)

I think its easier to fight look good against guys like Golden Johnson, Kermit Cintron, Miguel Cotto, and Frankie Randall ...

Even the guys that Margarito lost to never really amounted to anything ... if its a title for getting beat up - then Margarito has it hands down.

in the last two years Margarito has faced all of the top welter weights in their prime Floyd has yet to face one of them, you said in another thread Floyd would stop both Cotto and Margarito, I call your bull****, show me one welter weight Floyd has stopped?

He hasnt the only knock outs he has scored at 147 were against Jr Welter weights he has never knocked out a full fledged welter, he has yet to face one in their prime much lets in the top ten let alone the top five.

and some how you assume that the man who struggled with an older De La Hoya is just going to dominate Margarito? a fighter in his prime who can take a shot? get ****ing real.

Your delusional since day one of your ass being here you have licked every inch of Floyds nutsack so much so that I can honestly say that you havent missed not one spot you sucked his balls clean kid and congrats you have done a wonderful job.

Now when you want to talk real when you want to talk facts come back to the thread right now your just spitting a bunch of nonesense here that is no where near actual fact.

There is a poll in the forum of which is clear Margarito has faced the better opposition at welter weight than Floyd has. You can sit here and say this that and the other, but Floyd has yet to prove he can even compete with a top five welter in their prime.

Tell your boy to take on a real ****ing challenge and fight some real fighters instead of fighting in these bull**** arse fights at 147lbs.

I cant understand how you keep on using the past to justify the future, right now your boy is not and has not done **** all at 147 and until he does, he will be always known for ducking and hand picking, he is a little insecure boy who is terrified to lose his precious zero and for that reason alone, he pussies out of anything that remotely could jepardise his precious zero. He ducked out of the sport in real Ducking Fashion because he did not want his own fans to call him out to fight the winner of Cotto vs Margarito. He **** his pants at the thought of having to face a real challenge

Exactly!!!! and that is what would have taken place, Floyd would have been asked by Media and fans alike to fight Margarito and Floyd wasnt up to hearing any of that.

You were one of the main culprits a while back talking about how Williams looked AFTER Williams beat AM, and we get this from you...!!!??? lol. I don't need to talk aboutthe looks of a fighter after a fight to convince posters who won. I saw Clottey beat AM up. Beat him up plain and simple. Everyone saw Williams outpoint AM. Everyone saw Floyd outpoint Dlh, and win by a comfortable margin only to win a dubious SD lol.

Floyd and Cotto's chins were tested against a sharp punchers in Corley and Judah. Cotto will not beat Floyd because he won't be able to hit him. He won't be able to walk through Floyd either. The worst thing you can do against a guy like Floyd is come right at him. AM is a threat because he can land with both hands, but he is not a major threat.

To beat Floyd imo, you have to make him the aggressor so that you can counter him like Judah did. Judah was not able to sustain his attack. Floyd new he would have trouble with Judah calling him a front runner meaning he would catch up to Judah later on. Pac might be able to do that if he can land early.

You have to be able to come at Floyd and box him. Nobody is built like today except Pac. Pac just lacks the reach to land on Floyd, but he does have the speed. Cotto lacks defense and a respectful right hand. Cotto is a smart fighter, and if Floyd and Cotto fought, Cotto could do some damage early, but I just don't see him sustaining his attack for the full 12 with Floyd going to Cotto's body, landing the hook and jab...I just don't see Cotto beating Floyd.

This is why nobody respects your posts. They rarely have anything to do with boxing. Just infantile insults. There isn't a thing you can tell any diehard boxing fan here that they don't know, yet you some how think you know something we don't lol...:dead
