Who deserves to fight Floyd?

No welter really deserves it more than any other.
Maybe a box-off or tournament --- where the winner gets a shot.
Pick any of the top ten welters.
Good marketing can convince the public that any of the top ten welters are worthy.

 

maidana deserves to fight floyd imo. and most the guys mayweather picks deserve a chance. he usually picks a fighter who has earned it. accept victor ortiz.

Good list of fights I feel any real title holder should deserve a chance at the best in the division regardless of styles or what have you. One thing I can't help but chuckle at though is 5/7 and at the very least 4/7 of the guys you listed don't have as good a resume or are as accomplished as Mayweather's current opponent Maidana but are looked at as more deserving.

 

Very true. I think Maidana is definitely a deserving opponent. He's won 4 in a row, he's a top 10 guy, and he's a world champion. I think he was the best viable option out there.

 

Carlos Molina is the only man that can beatFloyd. Stylistically he is all wrong for Floyd. And this will never happen because it would make for a stinker of a fight.
