Both of their fighters showed great improvements in fighting DLH and Malignaggi respectively. Pac showed great movement and technique while hatton was back in his prime form and was using a jab to set-up his attack. But who did a better job? Freddie or Floyd Sr.? BTW, the build-up for the Pac-Hatton fight would be awesome with this two coaches providing us fans with some sweet trash-talking and mental warfare. Floyd Sr. would be finally tested in drawing a game-plan to beat his so-called "clown-for-pound" champ. Freddie on the other hand would have a chance to shut Floyd sr., his long-time detractor and rival as the best trainer in boxing.
pac has worked with roach for years. so oyu cant really say how much he has improved or how good ajob he has done. i think floyds work with hatton was kinda recognisable. using a jab or double jab and slipping really well, also he was stanidn less square on. whjich makes him a bit less hittable.
Very true - it's not like this improved version of Ricky Hatton beat a top fighter, or came back and beat Floyd Mayweather. Pac, on the other hand, did what no other fighter had ever done - flat out DOMINATED Oscar DeLaHoya.
How do you know if hatton still hugs when it was paulie that was doing all the holding! And you say not tested it was hardly like Manny was tested on saturday nite there oscar was a walking punch bag!
That's the sweet part of it...Manny's game plan had made Hoya like a statue. Many seems to forget that Manny is even not a highschool graduate prior to his boxing carreer with Roach. The language barrier is to much for Manny to overcome in a short period of time. It takes patience to fully inculcate in Manny's mind the nuances of boxing. He is now slowly grasping the aspects of his flows hence, beginning to be truly a wonder/phenomenom...
i saw no improvements in Hatton.....no hate either he still came in squared up, he still came in with his hands down open to a left hook, he still doesn't have much of a jab, and he still cant box
