Caleb lasted longer than Saunders, but it's debatable who won more rounds against Canelo

    Plant but it's close.

I don't think either one landed significant punches to keep Canelo at bay.

Canelo got the ko but looked a bit lathargic in this fight.

I would say it was pretty similar but I would give a small edge to Plant.

Plant was getting the sht beat out of him from rd 1. That shoulder roll may have been avoiding critical hits, but he was still taking a lot to the body, and only partially blocking a lot of head shots.

Saunders had the skill to stay away from the damage. Plant just got broken down. He's a C-lvl fighter, his size and no texas wrapskept him around longer.

Saunders easily, he actually managed to win a few rounds clearly, avoided getting cornered for the majority of the fight and controlled the range beautifully. Plant won a few close, was constantly backing up, and getting worked over. Also, Saunders got his goddamn eye caved in, and STILL DIDN'T GO DOWN. Unlike this clown, who was staggering around like a drunken sailor.

Saunders quit so , I’d say Plant as he went out on his shield.

They both did pretty well. I'd edge it to Saunders because the rounds that Plant won were mostly close rounds, particularly the first 3 when it was clear that Canelo was taking the time to figure him out. Whereas Saunders didn't spend the majority of the fight with his back against the ropes. And like @CST80 said, Saunders didn't go down. People can **** on him for "quitting" all they like, but he literally got his face caved in and still made it out the round.

Saunders still won 2 rounds. Plant got beat the crap out by Canelo completely.

This is simply not true. Plant won more then two rounds easily vs Canelo.

Of course this is debateable. I like to see it as who made canelo made to work more and i feel that it was Plant tonight. Canelo made saunders miss a hell of alot and had much earlier connected with hard shots like from round 2 on in the middle of the ring and not in the corners.
Canelo had to move plant around and tire him out first and get him on the ropes to have sucsess. I woud like to encourage everyone to rewatch tonights fight muted some other day. I saw Plant snap back canelos head with plenty of jabs tonight. Saunders not so much

Plant won three rounds if I am generous. Saunders was more effective despite shorter time.

How dumb does that sound? So in the 6 round fight are you telling me you gave Saunders 3 of the 6 rounds against Canelo?
Canelo was having a hard time landing on Plant hence why it went into the 11th round vs only 6 rounds with Saunders.

Plant by a country mile. Saunderstook far too long between big fights and like many UK fighters believed his own hype. He was good coming through the ranks but too many semi skilled opponents that made him look better than his resume deserved in the latter years
