Pretty clear Takam did better. But Joyce also took far more risks in this fight, he wasn't just boxing behind his jab, he went back to what we saw in earlier fights and just tried to run over Takam with his pressure and work rate.
I think Dubois vs. Joyce was a different fight stylistically. Dubois wasn't really pressuring or walking Joyce down. He was eating jabs for the whole night but also had some decent rounds where he stunned Joyce or made it competitive with his own jab. Takam did well with his high guard pressure style and was working Joycec over for a couple of rounds early on but after 4 rounds it was pretty clear that he's more or less on the way out based on his engine. I think Joyce knew that so he was comfortable in losing some of those rounds early on pretty clearly and he was also comfortable with the power shots of Takam. I like how calm Joyce is even in fights he's losing in early on (Jennings was kind of similar). Overall i think Dubois did better but Takam was just bit more aggressive and so there is an impression that he might have done better but still....
Dubois Talkam did well early but was running out of gas. If dubois hadnt taken the knee im pretty sure he would have completed the 12 and been pretty close on the cards.
