Who did better against Mayweather - Mosley or Marquez?

Mosley at least won a round and hurt FMJ, so clearly Mosley, plus he didnt get kd'ed and he also went for it somewhat in the last round

Mosley clearly did better but (if this is where this is going) that doesn't mean he'd do better against Pacquiao.

Some saying about styles and fights comes to mind.

 

Really? This was the first fight I literally fell asleep during. Not that I was tired I worked a lot that week. I haven't seen the fight since.

 

Mosley since he was definitely faster and packed the more powerful punch.

If May and JMM fought at 140, and no blatant "cheating" in weight took place, it could've been different.
Take note I said "could" since we really don't have anything but speculation regarding JMM's performance at JWW, while Floyd would clearly sacrifice some resiliency and power to make the weight.

But arguably, had the fight been at 140 and both men made weight, Floyd might've been faster anyway.
I guess the bottom line here is that Floyd's skill set definitely outshines that of JMM.

However, there are still intangibles (heart, difficulty in making weight, lack of sharpness in the ring due to inactivity, etc) that might turn the scales a bit for the underdog.

That's why Pac vs Mosley is a better challenge right now for Pac.

 

A one dimentional Pac already Gives JMM Hell. A well hydraded & 2 fisted Pac will surely KO JMM.

JMM do not deserve another Pac payday Until JMM find the courage and beat a top welter.

 

Mosley had a chance. Marquez was dominated throughout.

 

So their two fights, and the trouble JMM gave Pac had nothing to do with JMM's counter-punching ability and the fact his style matche up very well to Pacquiao's? No, I guess Pac was just weight-drained and raw, then suddenly became a complete fighter in his next fight.

Who deserves the payday more? Mosley? JMM has already proven he can fight on even terms with Pac and he looked excellent in his last fight. He's not a natural welter - does that mean he wouldn't give Pac a better fight than Marg or Clottey?
