I had brook up until the head clash.... great work from Spence either way though Mikey hardly turned up and Spence dominated the smaller man easily
The pre-Good Boy'd non weight-drained Brook, who wasn't coming off a stoppage loss, a beating, a terrible eye injury and gruesome surgery to repair it, and back down from 160 after bulking up to fight up there, would've unquestionably sent Spence packing back home to Texas with a big fat juicy L to keep him company on his trip back home. And that savage HL reel Ward-esque billy goat butt in round 8 which caused Brook's eye to swell up like a melon was absolutely pivotal This content is protected This content is protected
Brook is one of the most underrated fighters of this era too bad he wasted a lot of his prime with bad career moves. He could've beaten Spence had he never made that bad decision to move up and fight GGG he was never going to win that fight. I still think Brook has a lot left the only fight he has looked bad in over the last few years was his last fight against Zerafa and I think that was because he tried proving he can make 147 still by coming in very light for a junior middleweight fight and Zerafa is a natural middleweight. Brook can still be champion at 154 if he apply's himself and stops waiting around for Khan.
what exactly did mikey lose? this isnt his belt, division or end of ppv fights. he did not receive any injuries, he did not lose his standing at 135 and 140 or the fights available there. mikey got a successful ppv out of a fight in which he suffered nothing beyond a few lumps and some embarrassment. now what did kell lose? where is he now? who lost more?
