Theres no one he couldn't beat but the 7 toughest are Carnera, Max Baer, Schmeling, Braddock(190), Farr, John Henry Lewis and Buddy Baer.

 

If at their best, Max Baer and Max Schmeling would be tough to beat.

 

The answer to the question is not “ who “ but “ what “ and it’s the test of time. When placed in the same ring as any one of Louis’s opponents in a single isolated scenario, Joshua would win every time. But when forced to hold on to a title for 12 years, 26 title fights AND be able to recuperate after a military leave of absence I’m not sure he stays unbeaten

 

Max Baer and Max Schmeling both beat him. Also Jersey Joe Walcott, Braddock and Carnera stand a good chance.

 

why always such persistent type unequal fantasy match questions (not you Jake, just in general), AJ 'should' beat all of them...

Why? because he is a Completely Different Division, He IS a GIANT!!!

and before mentioning Cannera, who might just actually beat AJ, all of the other HW's were of Traditional Size Stature - HEIGHT and weight, calling todays S-HW Giants Heavyweights is the first error & secondly the division itself is full of subpar questions.

So the ONLY way such UNEVEN Matches can be considered is P4P - which is supposed to imply All Things EQUAL - HEIGHT, Weight, Peak and so on... and on those Equal Terms AJ would LOSE to Louis' TOP Opponents.

also think Era's - if ANY Modern Day Fighters are Doubling & Tripling their Fight Schedules among Top & Noted Fighters, well that is going to change the finished results!!!

think a Tarver Coming along sooner and OFTEN... last, the RJJ or Calzaghe or Bhop or Nunn or Froch, those fighters would all have been young L-HW's levelling out at HW - Stature Wise - HEIGHT and weight again changing a lot.

Stop placing Weight with Weight, when the reality IS Stature - Todays Fighters would be Fighting in Divisions UP and Yesterdays Fighters, fighting today would be Fighting DOWN in Divisions with months & months to make weight.

just cause these Behemoths are called HW's it doesn't mean they are, they are a completely different Subpar Division and Thank GOD, because that fact alone Isolates & Safeguards the True Heavyweight and past Divisions Fighters in Excellence for "what they Actually Did and NOT for mythical Unequal meets that in fact could not exist...

think of all the 5'9" todays LWs & Welters would ALL have been MWs back then, it is precisely the same thing STATURE, fighting near and in & around your Own Natural Weight and Not 25-40lbs lighter because todays Boxing affords fighters bloody 3-5 months to make a false weight.

and back to the Giants, most of them would fall away into lesser fighters and/or obscurity just like most past giants, albeit Todays Giants seem better than yesterdays rare contemporaries, but that still does NOT Make them Heavyweights.

This stuff really sticks in the throat. Who did Dempsey beat that Frank Bruno couldn't? You have to ignore so much historical context to make this argument. Louis, Dempsey and Marciano were THE best of their day. The fact alphabet champions 80 years later and 80 pounds heavier look good in a head to head is irrelevant.

 

Carnera would be cake for even the current version of A J.Braddock and Farr lose to AJ,Lewis is just too small,B Baer gives Joshua a decent fight.

 

Lets not forget AJ was stopped by an obese sloth named Andy Ruiz and a guy who came up from cruiser.

I’d favour AJ over all of them but Schmeling and the Baer bros have the best chances.

 

AJ got beat up by a fat midget and had a mental breakdown after he lost to Usyk the second time he's weak as water, and would fold like a chair against fighters from a much tougher era, let's quit acting like he's anything special, he definitely isn't.

 

Carneras kinda like Hrgovic. I think AJ would get embarassed by Hrgovic.

Braddock and Farr are a bridge too Farr. I'm talking the appropriately weighed Braddock. Yeah AJs not beating him.
