During his career that you would have liked to have seen him matched up against?

Yeah, that's the big one that he never got. Anyone else?

I'm probably in the minority, but I would have been interested in seeing him face Byrd in late 2002.

    Gotta go with Bowe.
During Bowes short prime he was better than Lewis and would have beat him in my book

Besides Bowe , Tyson is the only viable choice in the 90's worth mentioning , Foreman would have been over matched but would have been intesting to see how he handles a Lewis over hand right .Beyond those 3 he basically fought everyone in his era ,i dont really see Holyfield winning at any time and i think Holyfield was at his best against Tyson and Lewis ( personally imop he was on peds) Byrd would never have got near Lewis nor have the power to do anything to him .

The best Lewis beats the best Bowe by UD by 3 or 4 rounds.

Without checking did Bowe ever get knocked down? If not could Lewis have dropped him.. Maybe not.

Could Lewis have boxed wisely enough to not get clubbed.. Probably

Lewis would have dominated Byrd. Too big of a difference in height, reach, and power.

Missed fights for Lewis, who pretty much fought the best.

Bowe - Bowe avoided Lewis, but when Bowe did not have a belt and Lewis did, Lewis didn't call him out either.

Ibeabuchi - And I think Lewis is glad he never had to fight him. Ike went to Jail.

Moorer - Would have been interesting

Byrd - Dropped a belt rather than face

Ruiz - Dropped a belt rather than face. For whom, Grant?

And the re-match he said he'd give and the WBC ordered vs Vitali.

Bowe actually made a couple of offers to Lewis in 1993 and 1995 I believe.

And for what it's worth, Ike was largely unproven, with his 2 signature wins coming against small heavyweights Tua and Byrd. And Ruiz was considered a joke at that time, when Grant was the consensus #3 heavyweight in the world behind Lewis and Evander. That Ruiz even had a chance to fight for the vacant WBA was a joke.

Ruiz would have had no chance against Lewis.

Bowe vs Lewis would have been a great fight, but I'm pretty sure about the result. Up to 96 it's Bowe, afterwards Lewis. The best Lewis beats the best Bowe.

Lewis vs Holmes around 92 would have been interesting. Lewis vs Foreman as well.

Lewis vs Sanders or Moorer just to see him vs a southpaw.

    Lewis vs Tyson in 96.

    And Lewis vs Ibeabuchi.
