It's a good write up. Regardless of who ducked who, there are TOO many names missing from Floyd's resume. Way too many top fighters who fought one another, and who Floyd just did not get in the ring with. :deal

If a tooth ache is not a legit excuse, what's 'going on vacation' worth to you then? Or a phony two year retirement from the hottest division in boxing? :huh

I think most people can agree with that. The problem is when people start to talk as if Mayweather strategically avoided all these guys specifically because he thought he was going to lose to all of them. That's when things get fuzzy. Mayweather can get criticized for retiring when he did I think that fair. But there is a difference in saying damn I wish he made that fight it sucks that he choose to retire or what ever the case may be, and that he retired specifically to avoid these guys as he was scared.

the problem is mayweather haters AUTOMATICALLY put the blame on Floyd for fights not happening cuz hes undefeated and #1 P4P when they really have no knowledge about the situation. u can make a case for Cotto ducking floyd in 05 cuz there was ACTUALLY a fight offered to Cotto and he turned it down. but since then, Cotto has shown no interest in Floyd EVER so how do u duck someone that doesnt want to fight?

Cotto missed out on or is yet to fight Hatton, Gatti, Tzyu, Harris, Mayweather, Cintron, Williams, Berto, Martinez, Lara, K9, Kirkland, Canelo, Molina

Only Mayweather is held the the standard of ducking everyone who he didn't fight.

Indeed, i admire Floyd as a fighter quite a bit but its so frustrating to follow his career.
You can not claim to be the GOAT and then proceed to not fight all the top contenders floating around your division.

And then once the biggest challenger comes along you go on a long vacation.
I'm sure he did not duck all of the names in the post, maybe he did not duck any of them.
But he sure as hell did not make a effort to get into the ring with them either.

Ultimately thats why if both retire even if Floyd is greater h2h Pac dared to be great and his resume is so much deeper.

Tszyu had a fight by fight agreement. Feel free to cry about a source, or do a search of your own.

For ****'s sake. :patsch As I stated, regardless of WHO ducked WHO, he missed out on way too many of his peers. And it has NOTHING to do with being undefeated, or as you put it, P4P#1 since he wasn't #1 back in his lower weights. SO that doesn't even make a lick of sense. Just automatic fanboy defense.

He is always gonna be an amazing talent. Although I know (and I am not alone in this) that he can always handle a bit more competition.
