    Surely those guys seen footage, if not in person, fights of past greats.

    Who did the Fab 4 rate as the GOAT? Who did those guys really rate before them?

    When Hagler was talking about his childhood he said he wanted to be like Micky Mantle Ali Frazier Floyd Patterson and Willie Mays
    Ali was Leonards idol as well

    Duran's Idol, as he talks in his autobiography, was Ismael Laguna. Just like a lot of other young Panamanian boxers. Of course, he then surpassed him. He actually wanted the Buchanan fight as soon as Laguna lost to him.

    Duran also had a funny run in with Olivares. He seemed to respect Ali and other Americans more as he became an older man.

    Leonard said growing up, his idols were Sugar Ray Robinson, Bruce Lee and Elvis.

    Hearns never says too much about things. He always said his idol was Muhammad Ali and he wanted to pattern himself after him.
