Would have been nice to see Tyson fight back in the era of Ali, Frazier, Foreman..Just to see what he was really made out of. His personal life and stardom completely destroyed Tyson..the media turned this man into a monster.

I have a problem with threeds like this. Tyson or any boxer never fought anyone. Tyson or Ali or Louis and others are at such a high level that their talent and skills dwarf those of their opoents. If you look at any great boxer's record you will see that he had plenty of fights with fighters that were not at his level, but if you take a look at those opoents you would realize that they were very good and exlent boxers them selves. There is a huge gap between the elite and the exlent in boxing.
You can take an elite boxer like Tyson, Ali,Louis, etc, etc. and plug them in to any eria of boxing and they would still dominate.

he was and I totally forgot the uppercut Tucker laid on him that took him completely off his feet and he kept coming ..

No doubt Mike let allot of boxing fan down with his downward spiral , because at the time of his rain he was the living embodiment of boxing.

no matter who Mike was fighting you always got a show , mike was like a walking 4th of July you just never get tired of lighting fireworks and blowing **** up :yep

somebody always got KTFO in big fashion .

Ive been saying this for awhile.

He did beat a few good fighters. Older Holmes, Light Spinks, Ruddock, etc....but he never, EVER beat a great one. And everytime he fought a great one, he lost bad. To Holyfield the first time...then was losing the second time. To Lewis. And any of the other of the VERY GOOD fighters of that era, he never fought (Bowe, Mercer, McCall).

I think Tyson's reign was outstanding...albeit brief...dominating enough to get him mention among the top 10 ATG HWs, but the people saying he is #1 or even in the top 5 are delusional fanboys.

He should be ranked 7-12 all time for HW and no way in holy hell if he favored to beat a Prime Ali, a Prime Frazier, a Prime Foreman, a Prime Liston, a Prime Holmes either for that matter.

Although, in every one of those fights...he would ALWAYS have that dangerous one punch chance.

let be honest hear Bow, Mercer , Mcall and even Holyfield happen after Tyson not during Tyson rain ,buy the time Tyson was out of prison the only true Challenge was Holyfield .

Again Tyson did well for what was in front of him at the time

Tysons resume is mostly impressive because of the volume of upper level heavyweights he beat in such a short time and because he was so young while he did it.

I think a prime Tyson would stand a chance against any heavyweight of any time. Tyson lost to Douglas and Ali would probably have lost to Cooper if not for being saved by the bell and then the delay in their fight. Lewis lost to McCall and Rahman. Prime Holyfield lost to Moorer. Therefore it´s ridiculous to say Tyson couldn´t beat Ali or Ali couldn´t beat Tyson.

They were very close to even on the judges cards.

It seems unlikely that Liston would be in on it even if a decision was made in the corner to put something on the gloves.
