Who did you feel could beat Roy Jones in his prime before you saw him get KOed?

Listen...I am a great Hagler Fan, but his signature wins were against

Hearns ( a Welterweight) Duran (Lightweight) he got beaten by a Ray Leonard (past him prime)

and don't give me Hagler was past his best. Because people jump on Jones back for losing 25 pounds of Muscle @35 and fighting at Light heavy.

Jones dominated people his own size and bigger, he would have no problem with Hagler. A Clear Favourite.

This Kris guy is one of ones Decebal is on about for his troll thread. He's not to be taken seriously, don't worry about him.

Before jones got KO'd then there was actually no one i really fancied heavily over him, the only ones i gave a decent chance where foster, charles and tunney really. After he was ko'd twice we finally found out roys weakness but if i'm honest before that happened i thought roy was the complete fighter. Hindsights a great thing lol

Now i would make spinks, foster, langford favourites over roy at 175 with tunney, charles and moore pick em's, at 160 and 68 i fancy him over anyone though give SRR and monzon a decent chance

BHop could have beaten RJJ in his prime, and in truth that's probably one reason why RJJ never rematched with BHop. Their first and only fight was close, and I think it surprised everyone including RJJ how good BHop was.

The fight wasn't close. Competitive yes, but close? No. RJJ had yet to hit his prime as well, it wasn't just a green Hopkins in there.

The reason they never rematched was because Hopkins never agreed to the terms.

    "60/40 I kick yo ass!"

    Remember that?

Which middleweights would you pick over him?

The top 15 would likely include Hagler, Monzon, Hopkins, Robinson, Greb, Burley, Ketchel, Tiger, Fitzsimmons, LaMotta, Zale, Flowers, etc. I see Jones matching up quite well with them.

The first fight was not close. BHOP got dominated and never came close to hurting RJJ. FACE FACTS, RJJ beat a prime BHOP!

Did you choose someone like Foster even before Jones was knocked out?

1998 to 2001 version of Dariusz Michelcweski. He was a great pressure fighter, way better that Tarver or Johson at applying pressure and could take and give a great shot.

Roy wins a lot of his fights because he thinks / knows he is the best.

So you have to neutralize that by being a superchamp yourself.

Foster, The Mongoose, Spinks, Michael Moorer, Dwight Qaui, Holyfield (at LH), Charles, Benn, McClellan, JoeCal, Hearns, all since 1945 would have the mindset to win.

And I rate Roy as one of the top boxers of all time.
