Simple question. Who was ahead on your scorecards?

That's his gameplan pretty much, to outlast Groves and start putting serious pressure late.

it was pretty nip and tuck when the finish came. what a shot.

i thought Carl would do it in 10/11 rounds after George gassing out from doing a bit too much too soon. but he didn't have the same mentality as the first fight. a little bit too cautious for my liking from George. but congrats to Carl. he kept his head and finished in style.

I can't see how you could have Froch ahead before the stoppage

groves was ahead on the scorecard but the momentum was all froch. it's like klitchko fanboys crying that vitali was ahead on the scorecard against lewis before he got his eye busted, in the end it doesn't matter because groves got KTFO!!!

I had Groves winning, but thought the momentum clearly shifted to Froch's favor over the last few rounds leading up to the KO.

    Beat me to it.

Not sure I agree with the spirit of your Vitali-Lewis analogy, although I can understand the comparison.

Exactly. This fight could replay itself a dozen times and we'd see mostly the exact same scenario play out.

Maybe once Groves matures as a boxer he'll be able to avoid traps like that in the future, but as of now, the old Cobra's still too clever for him.

This^. Some of the early rounds were hard to score though.
