The first one comes to mind was the fearful beating local New England favorite Tommy Collins took at the hands of Jimmy Carter. Collins was flattened for nine-counts by Carter left hooks-- out like a light -- ten times but managed to get back on his feet and throw back. It was a slaughter.
Not so much a beating as it wasn't a torrid amount of punches...but Ruddock vs Dokes. Dokes was out and those last huge blows felt like they came at slow motion. I guess I didn't read the initial post as I was probably not rooting for Dokes. Sorry for the tangent!
