Who actually dislikes Amir Khan? I know he's very flawed, but what i don't get is, why do people hate him. To me he is everything that is right with boxing. He's a young fighter who is always trying to make the best fights available. He has brought us a number of entertaining fights over the last couple of years, 2 of them good enough to be fight of the year. He has a warrior mentality in the ring. He never quits. He fought for a whole round on jelly legs takng a beating in the maidana and garcia fights and refused to quit. He would never have quit against garcia. He got brutally KO'd and 1st thing he wants to do is rematch the guy. I don't get why anyone would **** on Amir. He's everything thats right with boxing right now.
He has a big mouth, annoying accent and uses both to consistently say stupid things. Combine that with a style in the ring that screams out stupidity and he's going to take flak. He has the right intentions boxing-wise, and if he was a bit more humble he would have a few more fans because as far as his style goes, ugly and technically lacking though it may be, it brings excitement.
he's ambitious and all, but he's a ***** with a big mouth who makes excuses every time something doesn't go his way
I think if he could 100% back up how he talks, in terms of a Mayweather fight, etc, etc, most people would at least acknowledge he has the skills to have a mouth like that. Huge Khan fan and for the record I think he has the skills to give Mayweather a harder fight than Cotto, (style-wise), but only on the circumstance that Khan improves his damn defence..
he's a blabber mouth who doesn't own up to his mistakes...most recently blaming his training camp and constant travel for his loss against garcia instead of blaming his less than steady mandible....
Listen to the way he disrespected every fighter he fought when he first turned Pro, and if that doesnt give you reason, just read or listen to any interview he has given. As a boxer he is decent but has reached his level. Those thinking he would give Floyd a hard fight, Please he couldnt even hurt Garcia! His ego outweighs his skillset by far and that is why people hate him. Right before this fight he was saying how he was too good for 140 and done at the weight....not now your not.
people are going to hate but because thats what they do. i dont hate khan in fact i dont hate any fighter. i just disagreed with khan and his fans claiming he was the best in his division.it easier to hate on a fighter when he thinks he's better then what he really is and its eaiser to hate on him when his fans believe the same hype. why do people hate on the following fighters ? floyd mayweather manny pacuaio andre ward timothy bradley zab judah julio chavez jr joe calzaghe vitali klitschko wladimir klitschko etc. etc good guy bad guy **** dont matter, role model or not, black or not no fighter his exempt from hate in the sport of boxing.
What I don't get is why everyone has to like him. I respect all boxers who put their life on the line but why do fans get so butthurt over a little bit of criticism? I don't have to like Amir Khan....just like the way I don't like a certain color or type of food. I do like the fact that he's usually in exciting fights. If that's a consolation, take it.
what attitude. The attitude that he'll find any fighter any where. he did everything he could to make the bradley fight. Same with peterson fight. Khan went to his backyard cos peterson wouldn't fight him otherwise.
I hate what he stands for but agree he has balls. Over the years it has become apparent to me that he values the commercial side of the game more than the reality of fighting. To amir being a celebrity and a "bigger name" is top of the list and his skills/achievement in the ring don't warrant this opinion he has of himself. Being a media ***** and therefore misleading the casual boxing fan into thinking he is p4p one of the best has never been a positive approach as far as I am concerned. Constantly making excuses and claiming past and present atg fighters are "scared" to fight him lacks class as does the fact that he thinks he deserves an instant re-match with Garcia.
not me i have tones of ****stanis friends and some of them hate him some love him hes got the balls to do the job i would love to do if i was gifted enough win some lose some fair play to the dude
I wish he was more humble in defeat. Other than that, I enjoy his trash talk and his style of fighting. Never been in a boring fight either. But yeah, he's not exactly classy in defeat and blames it on everyone but himself.
