people like to hate, how can you hate 2 ATG like pac and floyd. khan has ATG heart - gets KO'd and doesn't hide away, still gets hate
Pretty much this. I respect the guy for fighting whomever, whenever. But his mouth, attitude, and love of himself make him unbearable out of the ring. I watch and enjoy his fights, but I have my finger on the mute button before and after the fight.
i don't hate him. I just think he is a big overated. Even at this point of Floyd's career i don't think Khan can even come close in beating him yet. He is a bit annoying on talking him self up too much. Much like Froch.
His style is ugly as ****. Without his speed, what else does he have?? Dude has heart tho, he gets props for that, and for wanting to fight the best. His arrogancee is very annoying however...Acting like he's one of the elites, when he's beyond flawed.
I like the guy, and always will (I gave Mr Magic heat because of his lame ass thread). I agree with bits and pieces of what a lot of people has said. I think him being ****stani plays a role. I like his attitude personally, but it does kinda rub you the wrong way like Froch . . . who both claim they are so great. I saw all the tools for Khan to be great (unlike Froch) but something was always missing. None the less, great kid, Freddie trying to make him into the next Pac but he is not.
He's just a mouthpiece. No grace in defeat and never gave any credit to Prescott or Peterson and then makes every excuse under the sun. Just a Grade A *****.
Good for you. You still brought race in to it, and you are still a tit for doing so. I wonder why no one else had mentioned race up until your post? :think I guess they don't live in the real world.
Sorry but if you don't think Khan being ****stani has anything to do with the disproportional amount of hate he gets then you are either naive as hell or just live a very sheltered existence.
I've had this debate far too many times on this forum to continue. People have already stated why they find him annoying plenty on this forum, 99% of it does not include race. I'm not naive, there are racists in the world, the majority on this forum are not racist. That's as close to a fact you can get. You brought race in to it, you are part of the problem. Khan is disliked for his attitude and personality, also because of the people who overrate him on this forum, it's that simple. That's my last reply :good
Noones gonna stand up and say 'I don't like Khan because he's a ****' though are they? You can't deny theres a lot of ill feeling towards the Muslim community, especially since 9/11 No beef here, just healthy debate :good
Other arrogant fighters don't attract the same level of hate, so I don't think it's as simple as that. I have to admit that he grinds my gears whenever he opens my mouth, more so than other fighters coming out with the same crap. I think one of the issues with Khan is that he seems devoid of self-awareness, wit, and (to put it bluntly) intelligence. He really has no idea of how what he says is perceived, and why the public view him the way they do. Anyone with a contrary view is dismissed as a "hater". In other words, he just doesn't get "it". It's also likely that these flaws hinder his development as a fighter, as well as harming his public persona.
He has such a huge, annoying mouth. Doesn't know when to shut up. His conduct after the Peterson loss was disgraceful. The way he complained about every possible thing and blaming it for the loss was pathetic. When fighting, his style sometimes pisses me off. I can't remember a fighter who would litterally begin to run away like he does. Khan thinks he's paid his dues to be respected as a really tough warrior in boxing, when in reality he's been in a few tough fights and at some point in those fights he began to do things that did not represent what such a "warrior" would do. This includes running, excessive holding, and all around stalling for extended periods of time. Amir, even after the Garcia loss, is already comming out with excuses and refuses to admit that he lost because Garcia drilled him with a hard shot and never allowed him to recover.
