Shane is a bold, bold motherf*&ker. Will fight anyone and has. At LW he was unbeatable and KO'd everyone he fought. His only losses really were at 154, a weight he had no business fighting at. The Cotto fight was lost on a bad gameplan. He'd kill Cotto in a rematch. imho.
i am gonna run this pole again at teh end of the year. after both fighters have had their fights this years....lets see if things change.
It's close, but Floyd as of right now. I don't like these kinds of questions when both fighters are still active and have high profile bouts coming up. Things may look entirely different a couple months from now.
I like Shane way more, but Floyd has the better legacy all things considered. A h2h win could put Shane ahead.
Mayweather, but it's not out of the question that SSM could be rated higher if he can get a couple more big fights (one of which being against Mayweather), and win them.
Shane Mosley has beaten peak Oscar De La Hoya x2, Fernando Vargas x2, Antonio Margarito, and Ricardo Mayorga Floyd Mayweather has beaten old Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Diego Corrales, and Jose Luis Castillo. I'm slightly more impressed with Shane Mosley's body of work and longevity.
