Who do US fight fans want to see Hatton fight next at Light Welter.

Also, he doesn't even call it a tune up. He calls it a "reward for his fans". What would be a bigger reward? Lazcano, Torres etc or beating up Witter?

The majority of his fans know nothing about boxing (why they billed all his WBU fights as world title fights) and he takes advantage of that. Nice reward Ricky!

 

Jesus christ. The guy just took on the best fighter on the planet and now he's being called a *** for not wanting to take the hardest route back following what was a quite significant loss.

I'd like to see him face Witter, who I think he beats quite handily, but I'm quite happy for him to come back against somebody of a lesser stature just to see how he handles himself following the defeat. If he doesn't fight a better opponent after that, the criticism may be a little more justified but until then, I'm not going to jump on him. Considering he fought Castillo and Mayweather back to back in the USA last year, I think he can take an easier fight if he wants.

 

Isn't Oscar doing the same thing by fighting Forbes? Hatton is getting MUCH more **** than Oscar on this.

 

Because that what world class boxers who want my PPV money should be doing. He you want a warm up match Hatton go and spar with whoever but dont expect me to pay.

Be a man and fight Witter who is clearly the best in that division!

 

How can you justify Hatton taken on someone who posses no threart? He has had how many professional fights. Tune ups don not cut it with me. If you fight a lower ranked opponent then this is your true level and not a tune up.

Boxers should tune up in sparring thats what it is for!

I'm no American, but on the other hand, any self-respecting boxing fan will know which fights should be made, regardless of nationality.

1: Malignaggi -- would give him another taste of dealing with a "slippery" fighter, which brings us to...

2: Witter -- the fight many people want to see Ricky in

3: Torres -- would be a good fight, could be a real tough one for Hatton

Why should people pay for that? Is Hatton a warrior or a little baby that needs the illusion of thinking that he is good? Boxing is about testing your self against the best and if want a tune up then pay someone to Sparr with you!

regardless of nationality, every boxing fan wants him to fight either witter, torres or malignaggi.

if he does'nt fight any of these guys this year, then he'll lose a lot of respect.
